I only have use of 1 arm so I’m looking for a summoner build that uses like just 2 skills, that’s decent I guess.
I thought I saw a video on youtube that said something like that, but I can’t find it now.
Preferably something that doesn’t require rare drops or whatever.
I just want to play a summoner, it was my fav build in D2.
The only real viable build for summons relies on Mendeln.
You can use summons without it, but you won’t get far. Summons just don’t provide enough damage, and to keep them alive you either sacrifice meaningful damage or micromanage their healing/upkeep.
For playing with one hand, check into gaming mice. I swear by the MMO-style mice with 12 buttons on the side. There’s another one (I forget the name) that’s like $200-300 that allows full control one-handed. I’m sure another poster here can inform you better on that one.
Theory crafted a build that should let u be extra passive and use left/right mouse click.

The build is centered around defense because u need to be near mobs for ur minions to engage, trigger corpses and tanky build lets u be more passive. A really good source of tankiness for necro is necrotic carapace combined with DR fortify and spawning as many corpses as u can.
Although u have minions, a good chunk of damage comes from darkness/shadow.
Skills
Max decrepify to reduce mob dmg. Don’t take bonded in essence since u don’t have to cast it that much.
Shadowblight is taken for key passive for damage. Kalan’s edict is stupid anyway, mobs aggro on u hard and that passive would spend more time in the 2s reset window than active.
Sacrifice golem. Since you won’t have enough slots for it.
No thorns because the dmg doesn’t scale on necro.
Gear
For gear affixes this would be getting as much max life, DR fortified, DR injured, DR close in this order. Use a shield and 1H sword for innate crit dmg.
Sacrilegious heart and Decrepify aura are almost essential as they auto cast 4 skills for u - decrepify, raise minions, corpse explosion and tendrils. U need to farm them as soon as possible, playing solo that would be around lvl 30-35 probably.

edit: frenzied dead aspect used to be bugged, when attacking the same target minions don’t reacquire the buff. If so, try blight or rapid.
You may be referring to the AFK summoner build on YouTube. The only two buttons you have to click is Bone Storm and Blood Mist. I used it till tier 3 then I switched out Bone Storm to Bone Spear for more damage.
I do not main a Necromancer, so I am still learning. So far it’s working pretty well. I am able to do tier 4 at level 55 with that setup. Level 60 now and able to clear NM21 efficiently.
Or try Arkraith build. I will give it a try sometimes this week as well.

I’ve been running maxrolls summoner infinimist build. Only really use reap and blood mist. It’s pretty relaxing and does very good damage for a mendeln build.
