… for matt farming? Seems like the only reason to up the difficulty past t1 is when running bosses. Is that right?
Only two reasons:
- Better drop rates if your build can handle it. No point going to T4 for farming if you just keep dying. The most efficient tier is where you don’t die and can kill fast.
- Ego boost. I personally can’t accept myself if I can’t do T4 at all because I know I can do it. That’s just me but some folks are ok with T1. With the new system, you get every content with T1.
Edit: I guess for testing and theory crafting builds too. For streamers, it’s “content”.
Higher tiers drop more matts and boss summoning materials? The description doesn’t mention that.
Oh yeah you are right about that.
I guess if your build can do higher do it because it’s more efficient. Otherwise don’t go beyond your paygrade
I love Torment 1 I am a GOD here.
You can’t make me leave.
No, to be honest there isn’t.
Spiritborn trivializes the game for most players, no reason to push past 100 pit, small drop rate increase.
Sure you get slightly higher drop rate.
But…for what? This game still has nothing to do. Collecting gear for other classes, SHOULD be the play…but all the other classes suck and now d3 paragon, so why even bother.
Might as well stay in t1-2
I am too (now really I am)… But for more of a challenge I’ll test Torment II.
The way I see it, when you first start, your character/gear is as hard as the mobs.
Once you get better gear/more powerful those mobs become easier to kill.
Once they become TOO Easy then it’s time to move to the next diffiucluty.
IN Other words I figure it to be a See Saw Saw?? I guess???
I have already beat the pit for T2.
It just makes no sense to move there till more of my paragon is filled at least the resistance nodes.
T1 is boring on a SB. T3 is a pain for the resists so I’ll probably hang at T2 for a while.
No (well maybe T2 it’s pretty free), and that’s always been the games problem.
How we gear and build a character is the mid game, since you can do all content on lower difficultly all of it is just a gear grind, but there is nothing ahead to use that gear grind on other then to buff the same content to be more difficult to drop the same stuff only more often.
Blizzard still hasn’t figured out what an end game is.
T4 has the best drop rates for everything so it is the very baseline to begin farming, and keep up with the trading market. That shouldn’t be the case though. They should cap drop rate increases to T3. T4 is way too high of a bar to begin efficient farming.
