Is there a plan for a Kill Counter and Death Counter with Leaderboards?

Just wondering if anyone is in the know of any plans to add a Monster Kill Count, Player Death Count, and Total Gold Acquired Count into the physical game like it was displayed in Diablo III. So far I’m enjoying a lot of parts of the game. There are certainly a lot this team needs to work on… but the thing that keeps me playing is the framework for a fantastic ARPG Dungeon Crawler is there. The World looks great. Dungeons are fine now, but they need more refinement. Especially in regards to Backtracking, Mob Density, and the absolute NEED for a solid Loot Filter. The game seems to be fine in its current state, as long as updates with real content continue to come out and more refinements are made.

The main question I have about Leaderboards pertains to End Game. What is the Grind about? I know that Uniques are supposed to be something to shoot for at end game. But for what? Are Unique Gear Items the only Rare Items that will be sought after at End Game? Why are there no Rare Items known in the game with special effects, like potions, or Rare loot Items that create a special Portal to a Cow Level like encounter that may give you another unique or Rare Item? I get that Blizzard has an audience to aim for, and they want everyone to be able to reach a sense of End Game success at the end of each Season. However, if Unique Items are the only Rare Items to grind for at End Game, I see absolutely no point in playing any further into the game each Season after level 100, and whooping Liliths *ss. What is there to grind for? Truly? Best In Slot Gear is not difficult to find, other than having no Loot Filter. And other than the new Bosses added into the game for the current Season, other than bragging rights, I don’t see any reason to continue after completing your Season Journey.

That being said, I am disappointed because I do enjoy the combat in the Game. The Legendary Aspects are good, but there is room for more depth, and some refinement is definitely needed. Despite the popular belief on the contrary, I think Drops feel great. I’ll be playing for 2 days and get only decent Aspects, then the next day, get a Gear upgrade that pushes my build up 4 or 5 tiers. You aren’t expecting a good Drop, mostly because the Drops are all Sacred. But then you’ll get something actually worth using and it does feels good man. But I digress; we need proper Leaderboards in the Game.

In Diablo III there was a general Stats Tab at the Character Selection Screen, that enabled players to see some basic Stats. Mostly, Total Monsters Killed, Total Gold Acquired, and Player Death Count. I know General Game Leaderboards are coming out, I am wondering if anyone knows if there are plans to implement this same type of Stats Page into the Diablo IV Build. Please give any community feedback if possible! Give your opinions on if you would like a General Stat Counter in the Game.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Regards,
