Also, can hp be slightly more rare on weapons and offhands please? Fun affixes like +skills are fun. Can we have some without spending billions for a less than 1% chance to maybe get one please?

Once suggested an idea where there are 4 types of baseline damage (Physical, Non/Physical, Vulnerable, Overpower) and all 4 stat affixes (Str, Int, Dex, WP) affect one of them respectively
There’s no proof that anything is or isn’t weighted. There’s also no proof that their RNG system is good quality. It’s also worth noting that a true RNG doesn’t exist in the literal sense of the definition, computers are deterministic, they don’t produce random results by design. Any respectable TRNG uses models of things like radio waves, entrophy, etc that are used as initial seed data to form a highly sophisticated PRNG that’s near impossible to predict and that is most certainly NOT what Blizzard uses for lots of perfectly valid reasons.
In the current state of D4 you need life on each item slot because the bosses are too hard and they will oneshot you when you don’t have 1 billion life.
When this is fixed… yeah, than the boring life affix should be replaced with some more interesting.
There’s is no proof. There’s only a reoccurring trend. Items just so happen to drop with main stats + max life. Not saying there is evident to proof the trend. Just saying everybody’s observation is that those two stats show up very common among gear affix oppose to others. Remember NOT conclusive evidences. Just observation data.
I understand that, and it is what it is I guess. I was just saying if it was possible to let some actual affixes show up a bit more. It’s just not fun going through an inventory full of legendaries and all of them having mainstat and hp on them.
But I think their thinking was there needs to be a shift to more life given how armor will work and the majority of the casual player base will need to be helped along.
Same with the main stat, I think people were just not aware of the importance of this stat in the past, and I mean casual player base, I know people who are here at least get that.
i mean its with almost all new stuff they do, the first iteration sucks, they do not playtest it, they just let the playerbase experience it(test their crappy systems). And its no coincidence that these weightings are terrible, they try with how much of it they get away, to get ppl to play more. Its full on corporate greed mode, ppl by now should noticed the signs.
If that’s the case, then they could add some health on specific gear slots as an implicit to help mitigate that instead of making everything drop with hp on it. Chest, pants, rings, and amulets make sense thematically to roll with hp as their implicit, without removing what else they currently have of course.
I guess it wouldn’t help much, but having weapons and offhands roll with some mainstat could help mitigate that a bit.
