Angels and angelic nonsense, so not seeing how it couldn’t be a prelude to paladin. Add in some need to shift the heat off of some dev decisions for S11 (and the fervor for paladin I have seen on the forums), how could it not be paladin?

I think it’s a Paladin or a paladin like character……
Definitely not my type of character to play, but I’m sure a lot of people are gonna be happy about it.
Though I wonder will it be OP like Spirit Born was at the start….

Yeah, I dont get it either. Or, I get that D4 was a let down for some, but still being here after an entire expansion dropped and you have hated the game for several seasons? Just sad

I don’t think I ever expected Diablo to appear until at least 3 expansions in. I initially thought there will be 3 - the first being Mephisto having been set up by the base campaign, then Baal and finally Diablo.
Then they released the VoH campaign which I thought was… ok. But it didn’t really progress the Mephisto storyline as much as I expected. So even if they go 1 Prime per Expansion now we won’t see Diablo until Expansion 4. But at current pace it could be as many as 6 Expansions before we fight Diablo. Which at current pace will take 10 years from release…
So maybe we will see him in Season 40 or so.

IIRC one of the devs said the next class is a Wanderer… which an either be taken as a joke (since you, the main character of D4, are the Wanderer)
Or if you hyper hyperanalyze it, can be taken as the Warrior from Diablo 1, since that character canonically is the Dark Wanderer for Diablo 2, Aidan
If your argument is “It is a logical conclusion since fans want it and it would enrich the game”
then i wanna point in the direction of the 500 other logical things they did not put into the game.
After that i woul point you again into another direction where the 783 bad ideas are that managed to get into the game.
I guess the next char is paladin if only that i believe blizz is realy desperate now and mabye once will use common sense instead of greed, which unironicly are interconnected anyway but whatever.

Paladin is kinad similar to spiritborn. A spear class makes more sense => Amazon, the strong independent woman 
I mean PoE 2 copies bad stuff from D4 and D4 copies the worst mechanics from PoE 2, PoE 2 released amazon with lightning fury like in D2.
My question becomes when will they stop giving D4 their time? One person quitting makes no difference, but if tens of thousands did? They would notice. Im here because I mostly have fun. If you hate it, quit and then it will at least be a bad metric that devs cant ignore

i think they are niot similar at all.
One is a half naked shaman/warrior with an asian style weapon calling upon animal spirits.
The other one is a full clad warrior using medievil weaponry and holy element.
there is not a single overlap between those two except maybe they are both hybrid fighters.

They both wear clothes. Both have two genders. Both have (will have) basic skills. Both can equip Tyraels Might.
Similarities are unending.

What we know so far:
Adam commented the new class would be a ‘Wanderer’
The name ‘paladin’ appeared in a datamine of a patch a while back.
Please keep in mind the data mine itself is not definitive proof. Also the mention of paladins and what happened to them is in fact in the game currently. There is a side quest for it.
Now the new class could be some holy warrior of some sort, we just don’t know yet.
