Played for a few hours last night, and didn’t notice any difference in XP gains. Ran nightmare dungeons, helltides, legion events, and whisper tree quests.
Or is the problem that the bonus is so small, it’s impact is minimal? Or simply hard to discern?
You answered it right there I think.
The XP bonus is additive. Base bonus in WT4 is 200% (3x) so adding 25% (or 1.25x) doesn’t do much. It brings you up to 225% (3.25x).
The Gold bonus only affects dropped gold, not vendor items. So it’s quite minimal as well.
Most games add a 100% or 200% when they do events like this.
25% is miniscule for a game like Diablo 4.
You notice it in the long run, But you need many many hours of testing to notice it.
The problem is in 1.1.0 they took all of it away. And now offer 25% back like they are doing something.
Also with how half the hearts aren’t coded, stats, Paragons, minions, aren’t coded properly still it really wouldn’t surprise me if you were getting .25% exp and not 25%. They are incompetent.
It’s a very smol increase in WT4 that already gives you 200% extra xp. So the 25% extra feels rather underwhelming. But it’s there!
Yeah, it’s not that much. They should have giving us 100% more.
It’s a huge difference and if you look where they tell you to look you can see that YES it is on!
If they had done 100% or 200% I definitely would’ve logged in this weekend. 25% just isn’t going to speed up level 78-100 enough for me to be interested.
