Been playing DoK rogue for the first time and its pretty fun.
Only problem is it feels like snapshotting is broken atm. I do my rotation and everything explodes on t4 but whenever my Ult Shadowclone ends and after like 30secs my dmg starts hitting like a wet rag.
Anyone else having this problem?
I shelves my DoK; I’m not sure if the synergies with explosives or whatever was on purpose or a bug. Typically, I follow Mobalytics and in S6 they weren’t using Shadow Clone but now are (would be nice if they added some explanation) and previously were using Shado Imbue and now are not. Not sure what changed entirely, but I feel like I want to say a lot of the snapshotting is a bug/exploit and not intended, at least the damage it derives from bombs (sorry, not near the game at the moment), and I typically don’t like relying on builds that are like that as if they get “fixed” they become unplayable. Again, not sure if this is the case. Also, not sure where the cutthroat attack went to apply ashearas, the build looks much different now, so I’m assuming changes?
Yep you cant snapshot the boost you get from shadow clone. you must cast it again and repeat the steps.
Using max roll version with cooldown for the clone and its super clunky and nothing like the spin2win using grenade tag from s6.
They removed the runes ability to count as and Ult cast so it wont refresh. It kinda works still but manually having to cast the clone and get rid of stealth,
gain attk speed, drink pot and then concealment is not the most fun. And in witch tides with all that loot dropping its a bit awful. Basically its now a t3 build if not using shadow clone.
I wouldn’t say DoK is only a t3 build. I’ve been farming content on t4 (on hc) with the snapshot variant of DoK and without using any mythics either. But yes, going above pit t80 is tougher, but at least for doing most of the farming activites, DoK is pretty easy on the fingers. On infernal hordes, its even better, can consistently get above 1000 aether while just holding down one button for each minute.
I agree. After getting rid of the board with No witness and used another, upped the dmg to frozen passive and used dmg pr dark s. on my rings, and gylphs lvl 90, its very good at farming T4 stuff. and its only with green Gems. I also stopped using the atk speed knife as it got all too much to resnap when interrupted. I used aspect that give dmg to stunned and made sure I apply that a lot. So yes, it can be made to work without using the shadow clone. Just needed some more love . Ps. just random MW as that is too boring to repeat.
I wish Shadow Clone would not interrupt Dance Of Knives when cast. I feel that would end the clunkiness of the build. Or have a unique pair of pants that made Shadow Clones a permanent summon would also work. Just not a fan of the way it currently works on the build I used from Maxroll.
Yeah, an effect to make clone permanent would go a long way to making it useful. I suspect most of what people are saying are bugged for clone are just how the clone is currently designed. Since it doesn’t have Imbueable tag and the aspect to mimic imbues has to be used after clone is summoned etc just makes it clunky. There’s multiple interactions that works this way for the clone so it almost is more of an annoyance than help, especially since the builds needing it are also needing stupid snapshots for constant damage.
