So am playing as my favorite character with all MMORPG games like this genre, the bow rogue. (AKA Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Aloy) My imbue is shadow which when you destroy a enemy they explode. I feel that the skill is inconsistent because when I destroy enemies that are around others, they don’t take damage. I was hope that it would be a sustained ability too just like in D3 with bat ability, but its not. ??? I hope they change this effect to where it is active for a certain amount of time, or to be sustained with a certain amount of loss to your energy. the rogue is weaker then previous Diablos. No more sentry turrets. Let me know how you feel.
Explosion Damage is based on the HP of the enemy
So if you blow up a weak enemy an elite will take almost no damage visually cause their HP bar has that massive of a difference.
But the opposite is true also
If you use imbue to kill an elite the HP damage will be massive and kill every weak enemy nearby
When a Shadow-Imbued attack damages a target, that target will explode if it dies while it has the purple shadow-proc on it. The key to maximizing Imbue Shadow effects is to hit as many targets with a single attack, then kill one to set off an explosion chain. The best results I’ve seen so far is Imbue Shadow + Dash + Poison Trap with the Imbue-reset trait, along with Twisting Blades + Blade Orbit aspect (can’t remember its name).
Not sure, I have to get into endgame myself to give you a proper answer but seems is one of the highest damage dealers, but too squishy, so you better CC or kill at range because seems on high nightmare rogue has not enough defenses to avoid oneshots.
Poison Trap does about 10x as much dmg as Shadow Imbue.
