Is ReShade permitted?

looking to apply a 3DLUT to the game for full color correction. I use these without issue in WoW and D2. Curious if ReShade is allowed with Diablo 4? Definitely don’t want a ban.

It’s a shader… why would it?

GeForce experience has it built in. Or its similar at least

Yeah, my geforce experience either says I can only use filters with a compatible game or it opens up the filters tab but I got sharpen something filter and it’s greyed out, can’t add filter or anything.

And ngl geforce exp filters are quite trash XD

I’ve just started looking into ReShade (mostly for Q3A). How is it working out for you? Is it easy to set up?

ReShade doesn’t really work with Blizz games anymore, Blizz went on some weird unholy crusade against certain programs. This and the Steam overlay come to mind.

That being said, there’s GeForce’s filters which I use to color correct and properly darken the game so HDR doesn’t look like a washed out overbright mess that can’t be corrected in-game.

Very easy to set up if you can find a preset to use but not 100% safe to use.

90% of games won’t care, 9% won’t work with it and 1% will ban you for using it (usually because you’re using the offline version that screws with stuff like depth buffering).

But if you do it right and know where to go, you can even add screen space ray tracing to basically any game you want.

Hey OP if you find something can you please share?

Even Warhammer 40k has better color contrast that whatever the hell Diablo 4 is supposed to be.
They went from beautiful color palette of Diablo 3 to just reducing contrast by 80% in D4, because “muh grim dark”.
Hell D2 Resurrected has better color contrast than this game, at least the grass is a normal green in that game.

Some anti-cheat/hack software craps the bed over shader software. Throws red flags to the devs the same way speedhacks do. There was an EQ2 dev that talked about it years ago, before Daybreak bought EQ2. It’s kinda dumb that some can, but that’s where the concern comes from, cuz some people have gotten in trouble for simply using shaders.
