It has become rather obvious that D4 has become rather pointless to play. I have 14 characters at paragon lvl 268 and all I do is kill mobs and gather useless gear. The drop rate on mythic unique gear when killing bosses is laughable, in about a year and a half I’ve managed to get 4 pieces. This isn’t for a lack of trying. More than once I’ve used more than 500 Living Steel on Torment 2 and gotten nothing. In doing Helltides the game will very rarely drop 2 or 3 star Ancestral gear of any sort (across all 14 characters I’ve managed to get 5 “3 star” and 12 “2 star” pieces of gear). I don’t want the game to be “Monty Haul” with it’s drops but this is rather pathetic. The fun and/or reason for playing Diablo 4 is for the thrill of getting a great drop that increases your characters abilities. This now so rarely happens that there is no point in continuing to play.
Paragraphs > wall of text.
Yeah i dono why it’s so hard for people to press enter.
You know.
Like
This.
That’s some impressive entering there!
I do care to read other players input. There’s lot of demands on our attention though these days, so at least make it easy to read with a touch of effort.
Hmm. Yeah that’s kinda a lot
Ah… I see where your problem is
Mr. SirBored is asking the diablo forums if its worth playing d4 with 14 characters in the account
Reknown reward chests and Belial. Thats where the GA drops are this season.
I did lots of boss runs today. W/o any upgrade until i did 30 Belial runs and openend 14 reknown reward caches.
if you enjoy doing something even if its the same thing over, than it isnt pointless.
Lol no
T3 gets what, a whole one more chance at another garbage item?
T2 isn’t the problem
Most of my mythics drop in T1 and T2, it is not that at all.
But did you buy the cool new cosmetics?
Anyway, to answer your question: to me, it’s worth playing for maybe an hour or so. I can’t bring myself to play longer than that.
Is it worth playing?
That you have to make up your own mind.
D4 can be fun. D4 can be frustrating. It can be both at the same time
I don’t like s8, I liked s7 though. Stopped playing as the rewards aren’t worth the effort. Playing other games. You seem to have seen a scenario that’s similar. But you have to make that call.
but how does one press enter?
Wall of text with no breaks so didn’t read just going off title
Worth Playing = No absolutely not
I hope for you that you will be able to decide these things for yourself someday OP.
Just tested it out, 4 items dropped on T2, 7 items dropped on T4. You’re almost getting double the amount of drops, and before you say that “doesn’t matter”
That’s a 75% increase in item quantity, which is enormous. If this were made into a stat on a unique, it would be the most expensive item in the game. I don’t think people who haven’t played PoE understand how big of a difference item quantity makes.
i ran my sorc passive GA amulet probability check, other class should be around the same :
Final Probabilities
- Individual Passive as a GA (per amulet):
- Glass Cannon: ~0.0530% (1 in ~1,887 amulets).
- Permafrost: ~0.0530% (1 in ~1,887 amulets).
- Primordial Binding: ~0.0530% (1 in ~1,887 amulets).
- Inner Flames: ~0.0530% (1 in ~1,887 amulets).
- Any of the 4 Passives as a GA (per amulet):
- ~0.211% (1 in ~474 amulets).
It hinges on efficiency though. For all you know, OP can only farm T2, but farms T2 much more efficiently than you farm T4. In which case, the drop rate might zero-out… in which case you could parrot the standard forum analysis: “RNG” & “bad luck”. See? D4 has it covered.
But anyway, it’s another complaint topic that doesn’t give details about builds, farming loop, solo/group, etc. Didn’t even mention it’s (probably) Eternal.
Dude, you don’t know you get less gears in T2, which lead to lower chance of mythic?
