I have been away from this game since before S5 started. Has Blizzard finally figured out and settled with their game design yet, or are they still making huge changes each season? Which class is OP now, Spiritborn?
While I am away from D4, I have been enjoying games like Ark Survival and Baldur’s Gate 3. I feel like these games help me find something in playing games that have been long lost, which is peace. I get to do whatever I want to do, and most importantly, enjoy the story and exploration on my own pace. I wonder Blizzard has any plan to develop a pure single-player game again after so many years. Playing Baldur’s Gate 3 tells me that “live service” games suck! I just want to play a good game by myself, experience the story, have fun, and have memories of the adventure stored both in my brain and in my SSD. I don’t want to learn new mechanics every 2 or 3 months, get back to zero every now and then, or worry about a lot of strangers constantly attacking what makes the game fun for me. As a fan of Blizzard games for more than a decade, I really hope Blizzard develops a new game or change a current title to be a fun single-player game, and I hope that happens soon.
If you enjoy D4 so far, good for you. Continue to have fun. I will be patiently waiting for Dragon Age The Veilguard while dreaming about Davrin.
