Since the Halloween patch there are crashes and a possible rollback was mentioned by Blizzard.
Some said, this does not even mean a rollback of our chars but a rollback for server… stuff.
Now I see we have the mother’s blessing buff ingame and this is a chance to work towards paragon 300.
But I don’t want to grind for nothing if my progress might get reset with a rollback.
Can I farm paragon without worries or shall I stop playing until the crashes are fixed?
That was adding -nostreamline to the parameters at startup. Several complaints, including me stating this made it almost impossible to play due to shaky, rubber banding, with messy animations. So I really hope they don’t call that a fix.
i hope itll be fixed for everyone soon. all we can do is guess what went wrong there really. i and most of my f-list had no issues, but others do obviously.
But regarding OPs question i doubt there is going to be a rollback, hence why i implied, if you play HC and have issues, play softcore if you like your hc char ^^
That’s not a fix sadly, it’s a band-aid. And it only works for DLSS crashes, not the main client crashing/hanging. Hopefully after a good night’s sleep the devs will be able to cook up at least some form of stable patch. I can dream, right?
I think a large part of it is that Blizzard’s in-house testing can only capture so much data with such a limited variety of hardware configs. But what concerns me most is the consistent pattern of regressions that indicate old/launch code is being reused. DLSS shouldn’t be breaking with almost every single update. Most players would say Blizzard needs to git good. I’d say they need to get a good git.
Then you will see a national headline of a naked man screaming in agony while streaking through the suburbs while ripping his hair out.
That won’t be me btw.
So no rollback and they’re not undoing the patch. Latest Blue tracker notice
We have another client patch out on PC tonight that should help out with some stability issues beyond the disabling of DLSS from yesterday. This will hit console tomorrow as well. Keep us updated on how things are going. I appreciate everyone’s patience on this.
Translation: We don’t have a freaking clue what’s broken. Our QA team is either on vacation or babbling incoherently in a corner so we shipped out a major patch without even the bare minimum of testing. But our sucke… er, customers can do the testing for us.
Meme: BP guy saying, “We’re sorry” over and over from South Park only it’s Blizzard’s CEO.
It’s a blue post from about 30 minutes ago. I found it because I got a notification of a new download for Diablo 4. So I hoped on the forum and checked the Blizzard Tracker near the top.
