I’m going to be starting a Rogue, and while I know Andy’s Barrage is probably the best all-around build, I don’t have the helm to use the build. I do; however, have a Shako, Tyreal’s, and Starless, as well as the Shard of Verathiel. With those, I had planned on going Heartseeker, but I am wondering how does it fair in IHs and soloing Tormented bosses (primarily Duriel and Zir)?
I saw DiEoxidE making a hearseeker build for season 5. So far it only needs tyreals and starless. Other Unique’s can be farmed (Penitent greaves, Paingorgers, & Cowl of the Nameless.)
Haven’t tried it yet but it kinda looks good tbh
Fortunately I have all of those from farming with my Barbarian. Plus, I have some items that GA’d +Basic Skills, +Crit/Attack speed and what not.
Tell me how it goes. I’m still trying to farm the mythic Unique’s. RnG has been a Big B -.-
Shako definitely works for Heartseeker too. The other key pieces are Paingorger’s Gauntlets, Beastfall Boots (which are bugged ), and that sword that boosts your basic attack damage by 200% but consumes energy (can’t remember the name).
Is it stronger than Andy Barrage? No. But can it clear any content in the game? Absolutely.
Thanks!
And obviously to play the Andy’s build, you need the Andy’s helm, right? That build isn’t as viable without it?
Yeah, it’s pretty much the only mandatory piece.
You can substitute Skyless and Tyrael, but not Andy.
I found an Attack Speed GA Andy’s last season. Oh, to have that now!
New Andy has higher attack speed baseline (30%) than Andy last season with GA and three masterwork crits (27%).
I will confirm that andy DOES NOT work without the Helm.
This is my build. I can solo all content with ease.
Not anymore.
You do not need any mythic unique for this build and it gets even stronger without mythics.
Assuming you have perfect equipment, it can even beat andariel. But then you need many top rolls.
The good thing is, actually HS gear is relativly cheap on the market, cept Verathiel.
Can confirm you don’t need any Mythics, but you do need Coldclip + Beastfall Boots or you will hate it. The interaction between the aspect and the boots makes the debilitating energy drain from the Heartseeker Unique sword usable.
With the boots it’s great.
If you want to focus on having a very easy to play build its the heartseeker. I used to play the maxroll victimize heartseeker build and i took beastfall boots so i can pew pew pew with unlimited energy. I do tormented bosses with this build. Realxing and fun for me.
If you want to work for your high damage and want to take care about a perfect skill rotation go for Andariel Rogue. You have to dash every few minutes, you always need to place a poison trap which activates the totem of the Umbracrux, dont forget to use healing potions for the damage buff. Thats button mashing as its findest.
When i play the easy heartseeker build i can focus my sight at the mobs. When i play Andariel rogue i mostly look at my skill bar if skills are ready or just mash all buttons.
Placing a totem and shoot at the totem to spread damage around is also not very appealing to me. But most of the players like it. Maybe its your thing too.
I will go on and train the rotation a bit but i guess tomorrow i will go back to the beloves heartsseker build.
There should be a “poisonclip” aspect available that works like the coldclip aspect. Then you wont have to spam the imbuement skill all the time.
Im just here on the rouge forum to apologise on behalf of all barbs that we are sorry the D4 devs decided to give your class the goofiest looking ability in the entire game in the upcomming expansion…
