Is Diablo 3 still a better game than Diablo 4?

I don’t see any difference in the grades of garbage, it’s hard to figure out which is better than the other.
Absolutly same garbage. D4 equals D3 2.0

it’s already D3 2.0

If it was D3 2.0 I’d be playing it. It’s more like D2 0.5 plus D3 0.5

They gave up Diablo 3 to early because of engine limitations obviously.

We all remember how high Grifts were crashing and couldnt calculate the billions of damage that our Skills were outputting.

Diablo 3 is Still the best memories of my life in terms of ARPGs. And i started playing Diablo 2 when i was younger in 2001/2002

when D4 first came out and even for quite some time after that yes D3 was better in my opinion. D4 is slowly getting better with each season though imo…i’d say it’s just about on par maybe slightly better. Once they add more content and more QoL features then ya it’ll be a much better game.

Why does one have to better than the other when you can still play both?

D3 is a better game than D4. D3 is one of the best ARPGs and shares the list with a lot of the greats, like D2 and POE. I am playing D2R and D3.

D3 is garbage and was never good. D4 has turned into D3 trash tier.

Who cares what some streamer thinks. This is the problem with gaming today because some rando with a cult following says X and the followers are unable to form their own opinion.

Its ok tho because all these stremers monitize off their followers off someone elses work.

This is why we cant have nice thing.

I never gave a crap sbout streamers opinions either. “Wudijo says…” Who cares?

IMO D3 was all right, but I cant stand to play it anymore. Graphics are too cartoony and at this point I wont touch a game that doesnt have WASD support.

Right? I tried to understand from my nephew who was 10 (at the time) why he watched other people play a game instead of playing it himself. His answer was “its fun to see what others can do”. Hes now 13 and thinks streamers are dumb and prefers to play games instead of watching someone play them.

you can do that in d4.

i didnt get to fight mephisto and baal personally in d3.

sets cleary have been replaced by aspects in d4. but yea, that is different.

correct, tho it took quite a long time to hit that mark. d4 released a new class, 1 year after its release.

exactly, only on consoles. d3 is an online game.

no idea. i gave up on it at one point. playing for 2 days and zoom through a game isnt my definition of fun

but extra sales incase you wanted to play one of those many classes - the necromancer.

boring. did anyone ever use that?

i agree, these items reworks were a lot for an eternal realm.

i didnt lag in d3, and i dont lag in d4. Performance of a game also relies on your rig.

why is the open world pointless? it was infact one of the selling points which apparantly appealed to you.

not really?

not really? both games have telegraphed bosses.

i can see why you like that. d3 is the epitome of casual blaster arpg. you dont even have to know how your build works. that can be fun for certain people i guess.

people asked for target farming. people got target farming.

diablo3 has pretty much no versatility when it comes to gearing, as stuff is bound to sets which Occupy many item slots.

off meta legendaries for leveling? they are here. what are you refering to for example in d3 if i may ask?

not really, i mean you got a pony level there, and a pretty rare chance to end up in a cow level kind of rift. i mean… yea… i guess its a cow level.

d3 followers were as boring to maintain as the d4 followers in my opinion. I give you that honestly. i like my mercanaries for what they do, but they arent exciting. just like they werent in d3.

Honestly, no. As much as I dislike D4 and its direction, the game is still better, although only very little. Not that it is a high bar to clear, as D3 is pretty much as low as you can go for a game. D4 isn’t much better, but it is better, and it does have the possibility of becoming dramatically better, if the devs actually try to improve it, rather than regressing back to D3.

If you did, I personally wouldn’t notice. I’ve never done a greater rift, & I couldn’t care less about leaderboards.

Yes, it sums up that you’d rather play D3 than D4, meaning you think D3 is the better game. Which it is.

This is how I feel, honestly they are on the verge of a pretty great game but don’t have the resources to fix bugs and pump out seasons 4 times a year.

Simple solution would probably be to just release patches “aka seasons” when you’re actually ready but sadly earnings are the only priority.

Ah yes the d4 community…where nothing about the game is actually discussed and we worry incessantly about who is or isnt liking our game (because we really know its trash compared to poe).

Time to hop on over to Reddit and see if its any better…

…NOPE! They’re still running market research posts trying to figure how to make a decent arpg :sob::joy::sob:

On the verses have.

Please explain the criteria you’re using to distinguish great. Be specific.

Don’t have the resources? I think there’s a difference between not having resource (not having cash) and not wanting or needing to spend them.

They pump out seasons just fine. They also fix bugs. Do they get it right? Not all the time, and certainly not on our time line. But to say they have resources… laughable…

They have the money, people and time. We don’t know their top 10 items to do.

Release patches or seasons when you’re ready…. Seasons haven’t been a mandatory expense, so why not continue doing what they have been? Are things playable? Do you see people coming back and playing?

Seems what they are doing is working just fine. It’s okay to go play other games.

With all its flaws, D3 skills are simply more fun IMO. Even if it didn’t change much, you could change most of your skills “explosion colors” to your element of choice (if supported by your class). I had no trouble making the main class/skill combo skills I wanted, with the element I wanted. To me, it was fun, even if the fun didn’t last long every season.

But some QoL elements aside, it’s pretty much where the good ends. There are more skills and skills flavour in D3, but it’s also a very fast paced loot pinata you’re done with in days, something D4 is turning into, but without the skills choices D3 has.

Both aren’t that great, sadly. Good thing other games exist and that we don’t have to limit ourselves to those two.

Yes, you can, but just IMHO I’d rather feed myself through a woodchipper than play the D4 campaign again. But I’ve redone D3 three times, working through a 4th, & IMO it’s far more enjoyable. I mean, that’s just me, but still.

With an option to “Set game to private.” I can play D3 all day long & never have to put up with anyone else. OTOH, D4 is pretty much that way too, but that’s a different story

Target! Target! Target!

Who again?

Really? Not even by a long shot is D3 better than D4, althought D4 is in reallity D3.5…
So my 2 cents is big round NO. Diablo 3 IS NOT a better game than Diablo 4

There are pro’s and con’s to both.

IMO the big difference is D3 all the systems fit together and make sense. D4 it just seems like the threw a bunch of random systems together and they just don’t mesh that well. Granted it took D3 awhile to get there.

I stopped here.

Exploiter, Cheater are not worthy of my attention even if they’re one of the best.
