Is D4 ever coming to Geforce Now?

Just curious. Thanks.

No Blizzard game has ever been on GeForce Now as far as I know.

In the recent deal with Microsoft, the streaming part had to be taken out of the deal to appease the regulators in the UK (so Microsoft doesn’t own the rights to stream the Activision-Blizzard existing games), and that part of the business was sold to Ubisoft. So it’s up to Ubisoft as to whether, once they get the Blizzard games integrated, it wants to do a deal with Nvidia to include those on GFN.

Not actually true. They did have some on there for a bit as a trial or something? However that contract was ended or did not go forward. ATVI, Microsoft, and Bethesda all pulled games in 2020. Feb 2020 post from NVidia

As we take GeForce NOW to the next step in its evolution, we’ve worked with publishers to onboard a robust catalog of your PC games.

This means continually adding new games, and on occasion, having to remove games – similar to other digital service providers.

Per their request, please be advised Activision Blizzard games will be removed from the service. While unfortunate, we hope to work together with Activision Blizzard to reenable these games and more in the future.

In addition to the hundreds of games currently supported, we have over 1,500 games that developers have asked to be on-boarded to the service. Look for weekly updates as to new games we are adding.

Currently use of Blizzard games on the Cloud structures, is against the EULA. :point_left:

HOWEVER!!! Microsoft has a 10 year deal with GeForce for their games AND they own Bethesda and now ATVI. Will that include Blizzard and Activision games?

It is assumed that at some point Blizzard and Activision titles will probably be there, but when and how has not been discussed that I can find in my quick search on it.

I’ve got good news and bad news.

Good news is that D4 launched on GeForce Now today.
Bad news is only people who purchased it via Steam can play it. For the other 98% that purchased it thru Battle.net, it’s “coming soon”.

In GeForce Now Beta not only did we have Blizzard games, but WoW actually synced your add-ons via CurseForge. It was awesome. Maybe also “coming soon”
