Is companion build gonna be viable?

Do we know if companion build will be viable for endgame this coming season?

I just came to pose something similar. I am waiting for them to fix companions to come back and play again.

There is one buff to a glyph:
“Wilds: Passive Companion damage bonus increased from 80% to 120%.”

And a buff to bestial rampage, in case you want to use aspect of Wildrage (bestial rampage applies to companions also):
"Bestial Rampage:

  • Required Shapeshift duration reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds.
  • Attack Speed bonus increased from 25% to 30%."

Crazy upgrade!
Passive damage before: 10K
Passive damage after: 14K

Soooo much damage XD

Please Blizzard , Companion damage is a joke, Storm’s pants is the worst unique so far, and the aspect of the Alpha converting wolves into werewolves is nonsense since they are not benefied of the tag “werewolf”

Wdym I thought alpha aspect is really good?

Trying out the Shred/summoner build right now myself; its not really a “True” summoner build in that the summons exist solely to buff the druid himself, and I don’t think its really “meta”, but it seems to be working much better than Summoner Necro at least.

For some reason someone on the D3/D4 team Hates the conventional summoner archetype from other ARPGs and does everything in their power so summons are merely window dressing to (At most) support the caster, rather than the caster supporting the minions like all other ARPGs do it.

I don’t think its hate.

In open beta they saw that minion build was too strong. The minions do the killing and the caster can get easily out of harms way.
Because of that minions and companions were pretty weak on launch.
Ever since they get gradually buffed.
So its probably more an issue of walking a fine line then hate.

Tried companions up until level 30… Was so bad.

I’m giving pets another go to start the season. Forgot how unnecessarily janky Druid can be in the early going of this game.
