Is Aspect of Might too ubiquitous?

In this era of the Basic Skill meta, this Aspect is found in nearly every melee build. It’s just a flat 20% damage reduction whenever you use a Basic Skill. It’s too easy and too valuable to pass on. You’ll find it from S-Tier builds to F-Tier builds. It’s that Aspect in everyone’s build. Can we just get rid of this Aspect and just decrease everything’s damage by 20% lol? I don’t know the exact fix, but I could sure replace it with another defensive aspect or a utility one that would make my build more fun to play. I could be wrong, but it just kinda feels this way.

Some barbarian builds actually pass on that aspect and have another dmg aspect instead. But this just goes to show that when a class has enough toughness, players have options - they can add more toughness for safety or get more damage, unlike certain classes (cough* sorc cough*) that have to fill most of their skill slots with defensives.

Inb4 they CAP dmg reduction like how they capped armor and instantly made disobidience from must-have to completely useless

I could easily see this happening if we get more ways to add Damage Reduction. Probably a 65 to 75% cap.

To stay consistent with D4 PvP, I vote damage reduction be capped at 92%.

I dont like this new basic attack direction and these new basic attack items are god Tier SS. ( 300% x damage???) You telling me the 2 art devs had it right the whole time mashing basic attack for an hour because that is what everyone is doing in S4 now and will be even more in S5. Why even have core skills at this point??? Shouldnt basic attacks be um basic??? Now they are class defining and you can change them to have spenders. What is this blasphemy!!!

The vast majority of my damage comes from basic spam now. The only reason I use a core or weapon mastery skill is for buffing berserker and for weapon swap counts. It makes gameplay easy to the point of mindlessly boring…miss some of the older builds before the basic spam fest I feel almost forced to play now.

O, and HC only here so back on topic - I don’t think I’ve ever NOT had Aspect of Might on my gear. Too valuable to drop in HC unless the content is trivial or you like rolling glass cannon builds.
