Having a real counter would reveal how no one might be playing, it just looks bad for the game.
This is only for new players right? Blizzard is in full on panic mode not just here but in OW2 also where they are giving more free stuff than they have in the last 2 years. Rivals is killing it.

I bailed weeks ago and won’t be back until next season. The number one reason why is the terrible drop rates.

Everyone is play path of exiles 2. Diablo has ups and downs but people do come back to it at beginning of new seasons.

At this point in a season, I don’t expect POE2 is having much of an effect on D4. It’s when the two games season/league starts better overlap that you’ll see where each stands. The fact of the matter is, neither game sustains a high relative population a month+ into a season.

D4 is pretty much a dead game rn… about 200 twitch viewers at the moment. A game called storage hunter simulator is somehow getting more action than d4 in 2024

they’ll be back in the start of season 7. everyone quits when the season has a month left because most players had already beaten everything.

I’ll be playing D4 this Christmas that’s for certain (also going to get in some DQIII HD-2D Remake and GOTY Metaphor). I didn’t last year & I made a whole thread about it lol (sorry guys). D4 in S6 respects my time so much more!
Thats the problem isnt it? People should be “motivated” to get new stuff or builds in a game like this (live service).
If the game has 1 or 2 empty months with nothing to do…
I opened DiV, claimed some rewards and now i dont know what to do there. I want to play but im lvl 300, have nice gear. Im just standing there in Kyovashad. Maybe petting the animals is the endgame. But thats only fun for a few minutes.
I wish there were an old cathedral with a hellgate. Not to London but going deeper and deeper… multiple levels into hell. With nice bosses a big endboss and new awesome loot. Good looking stuff. Glowing… weapon effects… nice stats lots of builds could use.
Getting rid of short seasons with bad quality content would be nice.

I have said this and Rhykker has also said this, that an expansion where we go to Tristram and the endgame content there being a rogue like Tristraim cathedral with 100 levels and randomized rewards, map layouts, enemies, and bosses. And if you die you restart from the beginning. This would be a great addition to the game.

I wish the seasons were shorter but Blizzard needs more time to develop the game between seasons.
Its a great idea in theory but the game will crash on more people than not and it will become a severe problem that will REQUIRE them to fix those issues.
This is why it will not happen.

No one wants to play this. I honestly do hope you have fun though. D4 has a 6/10 campaign. You can get a good 20 hours out of the game when you buy it.
