You know there’s a slight difference between “class is Op” and “class is so god awful it needs 3-4 Mythics just to even have a chance at end game content” right?

Don’t worry Rob2628 is making sure barbs stay nerfed to the point of pointlessness.
Oh they’re there already. At least mine feels that way.
I’m having fun. I love catching barbarians in the fields of hatred and showing them a fair fight that doesn’t involve overtuned buggy/exploity meta crutching.
Now they just need to give LS/FO sorcs the same treatment
Actually Barbs were never overtuned last season. People just equated popularity to power. Not like, yes agreed, LS/FO Sorcs this season ARE absolutely overturned; Watched Rob do a NMD in 35 secs.

Tried Bash. Terrible for boss fights.
Rolled an LS sorcerer. A whole different world. Easily pushed into T7 without masterworked gear like the barb had. Feels like easy mode. God-like single/aoe damage coupled with nearly being unkillable. When I put a Shako and Tyraels on him he got boring.
Rolled a WW/DD barb. Only has a Shako but feels a lot better than Bash. Not fully MW’d and only the one Mythic so far but can slog through T7. The council takes too long to make it enjoyable. Maybe with better gear it will perk up.
Those saying barbs are fine aren’t looking at it relative to the S+ tier metas. They must enjoy 10 minute boss fights in an ARPG.

People trying to point to, oh but it did billions of damages once a few seasons ago! Like, nope it’s way behind the pack leader now. Like, not even in the race anymore.
The first problem is that you logged into eternal realm!
But they were. They were out of control and they were every season before that.
That the sorc build is now just as ridiculous isn’t a good thing. It’s a bad thing. It’s a sign of a poorly designed game when one class or like 3 builds out of all possible builds do that many times more damage than the next best thing while also being practically immortal.
I do have to give you barb mains credit though. You are commited to your favorite class and your favorite skills on that class. Otherwise you would just play the OP thing of the season and move on. I hope that someday (non combo points) twisting blades will be able to make a number with as many digits as the numbers bash barb or lightning sorc get to cover the screen in.
For sure. They are still very powerful.

They aren’t very powerful relative to rogues and sorcerers.

I feel like they are in a great place.
They feel gutted compared to last season when you didn’t need billions of gold worth of gear to feel powerful.

PTR has buffed the WW build beyond it’s previous glory days. Just a small change, its for Rogues now…
