Is a basic skill necessary in every rogue build?

all of those stats are in the same bucket as dmg to crowd/close/inj/physical / all damage but as Convexhull pointed out the dagger is a bigger multiplier than any weapon since it has a 40% x multiplier, than alone carries the dagger against any other weapon in the game.

I found a 30% x version and will be testing it once I hit 90.

ALso, which board gives 45/60% attack speed on the paragon board?

The combo point board increases non-damaging part of combo points by 33%. So flurry goes from 45% to 60% bonus attack speed.

Cunning Strategem also has 3 armor nodes for a total of 950 armor in addition to the Core & Basic skill nodes.

No it is not necessary. I run a no basic skill build, it’s very good. Takes a lot of investment to make work well though. Only end game.

What’s your build? Thanks.

Sorry I’m not sharing my build it’s quite unique and it’s for PVP mainly. But I play twisting blades without a basic skill.

Without specifics, you need to lower the cost of your TB and you need to regen energy very quickly, several different investments needed to make it hit the right threshold.

Got it, I like your secrecy and thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

New take: No. Just need a core, a subterfuge skill, 2 imbues a flex slot and ultimate (preparation). you don’t even have to worry about sustain because the damage you do outside of your cooldowns is insignificant.

This is a truly god mode way to play the class. A basic skill offers nothing to a build that clears screens with 4-8 imbued TB’s

Underrated board IMO. Also has what, 192% basic skill dmg? Plus diamonds? Nearly 300% basic skill dmg increase, almost 200% core skill increase. Insane board with the most armor as well.

Maxed out Heartseeker with triple imbue heart is a lot of fun in PvP with it dealing over 150% of my damage as a basic skill…
