Collabs are awesome if done right…Blizzard does NOT do them right, they just use it to add something else to monetize. FFXIV did it right with their Recent Monster Hunter collab…actually with all their collabs. Zero cost beyond regular sub and owning the current expansion.

Easter eggs were cool but collabs nowadays are mostly cash grabs for skins etc tbh. If they add some playable content then that can be fun for a while but overall I’d rather play actual good full game set in the universe.
I mean I play Diablo for Diablo vibe. If I want GoT or anything else game I look for it by the title. I’m not into this multiverse trend mixing things that don’t fit together and lacking its own identity.

Personally I’d like to see a Lord Of The Rings collaboration.
LOTR is the foundation for almost all of DnD and Diablo took inspiration from DnD.

A remaster/remake/new game of The Battle for Middle-earth would be cool but WoW and LoL killed rts genre. If new Starcraft is planned it will also turn to action shooter game.

The people who design the cosmetics and skins have nothing to do with the systems design, bug fixing, story development, class design, nor season roadmapping.
Like Fortnight? What’s wrong with that? What’s wrong with D4 having a little bit of fun and not taking itself too seriously? D4 to me is like LoL isometric fantasy game but with actual depth. I was that fast-paced point and click isometric dark fantasy ARPG MMO/Rogue-lite experience. It’s addictive. D4 is more popular than other ARPGs, not because it has the deepest character progression system (But still very deep), but because D4 has the ASMR factor, which games like LE and Grim Dawn fail to deliver.
But it isn’t. Check out viewers on Twitch for Diablo and Path of Exile 1/2.
