Infernal Stygian droprate secret nerf?

So was wondering if anyone else noticed the same?

i have been doing infernal 7 runs, usually get about 400-700 aeter drops, open only the box for stygians and upgrade materials. but since last 3 days i get 1 or maybe 2, half the time 0 stygians to drop.

last week I used to get 3-4 stygians on average per run. really boggeling what happend. i did about 15 runs on infernal 7 last 3 days and this is my experience, unless i am extremely unlucky last 3 days or something fishy is happening!

last run was 1019 aether, most i got till now, and 0 stygians dropped

Yep, noticed the drop rate decreased as well. On average, I get about 2. That’s probably over 20 runs. I used to get 5-6 each run. Now I get zero about a third of the time.

Why would they secretly nerf anything?

No nerfs just bad luck. I went over a week with only 2 dropping and then boom 10 in 2 runs.

Same thing.
I was dropping 2-3 stygian stones in T6 and T7 (even T5) per run, and now I’ve gone through more than 10 hordes without being able to drop a single one.

I see that you settled on going with the “buuut” defense instead of statistics. In that case I’m sure that I’ll getting a Mythic from a Whisper cache any moment now.
Anyway, I too have noticed a marked decrease in the rate of Stygian Stone drops, presumably because the top 1% of players were too awash in them.

I wasn’t defending anything. Just stating that RNG is RNG. People have a tendency to apply some sort of malice to it when it doesn’t work out for them. Just as you appear to be doing.

Now had you said the drop rate for stones is too low I’d agree with you 100%.

It has been nerfed for tier 8 at least. Would normally get 4-6 with 500 to open with but i even went with zero today after doing one.

did some more testing, 5 more runs, 4 on tier 7 and 1 on tier 8.

2x 1 stygian, 1x 2 stygian and 2 x 0 stygian.

seems like i am between 0-2 per run last 3 days. as last week i got 3-5 always in this range, was wondering if i was luckier last week. but i see some people also note they got around 3-6 per run normally
