During each wave of the hordes, no health potions ever drop. They do renew at the end of each wave.
Is this intentional or a bug? I can’t make it through Level 7 since I run out of healing potions very quickly.
It’s intentional. And should not change. If you’re not ready for the tier you’re trying to back a tier and gear up a bit and try again.

Well, I can beat level 199 monsters in the Pit and have reached Pit Tier 107. I have a Shako and Doombringer equipped; Doombringer is Masterwork 12, all other gear masterwork 9 and 10. I want to run Infernal Hordes at Tier 7 to get more Neathiron; too slow to get in the Pit for upgrading the rest of the gear. Seems odd that level 180s can give me so much trouble.
They do need to increase the amount of mats in the pits to make them worth running. I hope they do soon. I like to do different things in the game and not just run one part of it for mats.
I cringe everytime someone brings up Doombringer, Because i got one as a drop and like an idiot i was not paying attention and sold it and logged off for the day.
Sounds like you are playing a melee class. Good luck with that.
Because you’re buffing the crap out of them with the boons/banes system. Did you ever pay attention to the fact most of them increase the damage of enemies in there by 25%? Which stacks mind you. Combined with the density of infernal hordes along with all of the events that can spawn making it even harder, yes you’re going to have to think about your choices.
You could also just run around and let the timer run out if you’re having trouble.
If your build doesn’t have some form of built-in sustain whether that be barriers, fortify, life on hit, regen, etc., you may need to enchant or temper it into your gear. If you’re using a maxroll or some other “build”, keep in mind the builds are designed for perfect output AND perfect play. If you’re not skilled enough for perfect play (and newsflash, basically nobody is lol…) then you need to take a hit in the output and add in some healing.
