I think the Infernal Hordes Masterwork Drop rates are fantastic. Even for tier 3 mats the difficulty/effort/reward seems to really mesh well in a way I think feels good and gives the player a lot of incentive to clear tier 7 Hordes to efficiently farm upgrades. Also in order to farm tier 7 mats its likely you need a few items already upgrade to the third stages of masterwork.
There is an issue and that is right now it is much easier to farm the IH compared to the Pit which almost invalidates the Pit as a game mode aside from leaderboards or measured progression. Given that, I am afraid Blizzard may take what I think is the wrong approach and lower the IH drop rate when the more likely correct issue is to buff the Pit drop rate so it is till the most efficient way to farm mats.
I have long felt that the effort for tier 3 mats in the Pit never felt worth the reward and turned grinding Pits into one of the most tedious chores in the game outside of NMDs.
Separately Blizzard needs to do something about NMD and Glyphs. Glyph experience need to be tuned up and something “fun” needs to be added to them like helltides to differentiate the experience since right now its just a worst Pit. In the current state of the game NMDs are the worst grind we go through.
