Over the past 2 weeks I’ve started to notice some issues with infernal hordes.
First - and seemingly an actual bug - sometimes aether events just don’t start. I hear the sound that indicates an event spawned, go to the location in the room and nothing happens. I’ve seen this enough now that I’m positive it’s not just a case of me killing something too quick to notice it spawn as I’ve taken note of my aether before / after and did not receive any aether. Just playing hordes now and it happened 3 times which inspired me to write this post. It’s relatively common for me, maybe 1 in 5 runs I’ll have 1 - 3 events not start.
Second - soul spires seem to be way more common now. This event has obviously been very unpopular and for good reason. Every hordes run I do it’s 90% soul spires for the first 2 - 4 waves. I haven’t seen any news about soul spire spawn rates being increased - granted I didn’t search very long - so I’m just confused what’s going on. Is this intentional?
Third - enemy spawns seem much slower / lower numbers and there is often lag between groups of enemies spawning. I rarely experience any connectivity issues / network lag so I’m certain it’s not an issue on my end.
All of this adds up to less aether, and lower rewards for the activity and not a very great experience overall. I know I can do dungeons for obducite / pit for GA gear but if that’s the case why even have hordes in the first place? /salt
