Infernal Hordes: 6-7 disparity

Just me or is the disparity (difference) between IF 6 and 7 light years away? Yes, playing a non-meta build that wipes all content away except single target and…IF 7+.

Something just feels off, like 7 should have been 6.5 with it dropping Neathiron, because why else farm 7’s other than to obtain the materials needed to upgrade your gear that you cannot get pre tier 7, but you must obtain in order to get to 7+!?!? Sigh.

Close y’all, but just short. Also, I should have just rolled that sorc I was tempted to make 2 weeks ago.

Im still in WT3 and only getting level ones. Do we have to get to WT4 before we can do higher levels? Level one is too easy.

I’m just a struggling chain lightning Sorc that just reached level 90 today. I can’t do those yet but I noticed the same thing between tier 2 and 3.

I don’t get one shot but I can wipe the floor in tier 2. Moving to 3 it’s a struggle. I kill so slow that I don’t get much aether and I can die easily. I get mass crowded by the monsters because I can’t kill fast enough. Yet in tier two I wipe everything.

My Fireball Sorc can get Tier 2 done super easy but Tier 3 if I’m not careful I can get one shot. And I have the Staff, Gloves and GA’s.

I think IH scaling goes as follows. T3=Pit30, T4=Pit40, T5=Pit50, and so on. If anything, the Pit should work like that too because it adds challenge and promotes min/maxing your build.

the monsters gain 20 levels every tier. tier 8 is monster level 200 and they are stronger (more hp primarily) than pit 100 equivalent.

My fireball sorc has been clearing IH T3, pretty handily. It gets a little tense sometimes, but i’m not having any speed issues. I just have to stay on my toes.

You’re absolutely right. Thanks for correcting me. Idk why it felt like it was only 10lvls between tiers. The Pit bosses feel a bit more challenging this season, maybe that’s why.

I haven’t found one yet, so it’s probably a WT4 thing, but you have to power the compasses with Abyssal Scrolls to increase the tier (most people are likely not reading the message after your first Infernal Horde completion lol).

Yeah actually the scaling of infernal horde isn’t really good balanced and the rewards, specially resources not really match it, specially compared to the pit.

I can clean easily pit lvl 90 in around 3 minutes and enemies have basically same level of infernal horde tier 7, but instead in infernal horde tier 7 i risk multiple time to die and can happen i die.

Not worth to play infernal horde tier 7 for gathering pit resources is more easy to simple play the pit, this a problem of game design developers should fix.

I’m also in WT3, just unlocked Infernal Hordes, how’s the exp in there so far? Curious if I should focus on doing Hordes or just farm helltides.

Rob got something like 600 Neathiron for clearing Infernal Hordes T8.

The problem is the progression, when you reach to the point you can easily cleaning T8 to get so many resources, you don’t need them anymore.

There is a problem of distribution of “tier” of resources on wrong tier of infernal hordes, for neathiron is more adapt to drop from t6 or even t5.

After all the enemies of infernal horde are stronger than the enemies of the pit, even when they are on same level.

Simple there is an error on how the progression is balanced in infernal horde, good balanced progressive progression are usually the base of game design.

Haven’t done 7 yet, 6 felt like pushing it for my character and when the mat chest dropped ingolith when I’m getting the compasses for it from 85 pits…I was out…the whole thing is a mess (and a lot of it is bugged right now, too.)

What’s the point, then? By the time you can clear Infernal Hordes T8, you are done with the season.

And this is the problem, Infernal Horde isn’t an end game content, not when provide resources and money, is something created to give a different way of progression to player.

But the balance of the progression is wrong actually in the from tier 6-7, because give resources “tier” you have already surpassed.

For have sense Neathiron should drop in low quantity in T6 maybe T5, which is a tier you can do when gear barely upgraded with Ingolith, after all Pit work in this way.

I prefer the hordes because there are so many mobs and they just keep coming at you. Im leveling pretty fast there

Yeah I don’t mind the challenge it just feels wonky to breeze through one tier and then have the next tier be super hard.

My CL Sorc is struggling. I’m putting together gear to switch. The build is fun but to me it’s underpowered. Especially single target.

The xp is fantastic imo. Not sure how it compares to helltides because I haven’t really done those this season. I’m bored of them. I’d try a few and see what you think. I’ve only done these in tier 4 as well so not sure how it is in 3.

Another thing is it flies through both battlepass and the faction stuff because there are so many elites.

I play alts so it can be an easy way to twink alts.

Honestly I don’t think the devs intended it to drop that much. It makes the pits obsolete. I expect it to get nerfed at some point.
