Infernal Hordes: 6-7 disparity

Or the devs didn’t expect that folks will easily clear them. If it was challenging to clear them, the rewards make sense.

I’d say most people won’t be clearing high hordes. Even so, if they can clear hordes they can clear high pits. It makes doing pits obsolete.

Why not intended?

After all Pit is alot more easy to do after all Pits enemies of level 190+ are more weak of enemies lvl 180 of infernal horde.

The real problem is the distribution of tier of pit resources in infernal horde.

Neathiron should stay in T6 or T5, is useless to place it in T7/T8, because you already get Neathiron from the Pit lots of time before you can deal with T7/T8.

Infernal horde is a different way of progression and should keep a more adapt progression of resources tier.

I honestly feel it’s part of what makes it quite good

It’s definitely different than every single endgame experience since everything else scales lvl by lvl which arguably makes the experience super boring. IH on the other hand is 20 lvls between each tier which essentially tells you to get good if you want to advance a tier. I can’t emphasise enough how needed this was for the game.

Dude tier 7-8 I get enough neath to completely roll an item.

But with the time you need to do T7 and the fact is luck based how much resources you can get, is more simple do the pits.

Enemies in infernal horde are stronger even if they are lower level compared to the pits, for example i can finish lvl 100 pit in 3-4 minutes and get 59 Neathiron, without risk of be one shotted.

Instead i need 14/15 minutes to do a T7 infernal horde and depending on luck you can get around 400 Neathiron, but with the risk of be one shotted.

Simple risk/reward not working for resources in infernal horde.

Tier 7 doesn’t take me that long and I don’t die in there.

The question is what build are you running and what the other guy is running?

Because it’s possible BOTH of you are correct. It all depends on the context.

I don’t think this is quite accurate. Get good only gets you at a point until you hit a wall. Eventually the answer is copy the meta or run with a strong group which is also possible are running meta or S tier builds for Infernal.

Edit: Let’s use an example. How does an Incinerate build progress per tier and get good until even Tier 6 then Tier 7?

Agreed. I can solo a 6 with a very nice challenge as an orb sorcerer but trying a 7 is futile. Trying to find a group that everyone can survive the 2 deaths is nearly impossible via chat

Yes, I very much agree. There’s too large of a gap in the horde tiers.

You get good in 2 ways. Either by playing better until you hit the gear check wall, and/or by making your build better.

Players that struggle have to accept they’re either bad mechanically, and/or their build sucks, and that not all builds will be able to make it very far.

My Flurry rogue can kill pit 91 bosses in one stagger but tier 7 horde council members take three staggers that it becomes a drag.

Way too much health for what they should be.

In other words you eventually end up copying the meta if you wanna hit the most potential

Sure, you COULD do that if you don’t want to bother making your own build and you HAVE to reach the absolute pinnacle Tier. That would make you the 0,001% of the player base.

They are not equivalent.
I can do pit 91 (monster level 190), but I get wiped on tier 6 hordes (monster level 160).

My Charged Bolts Sorcerer can speed-run Tier 3 (not really since there is a clock, just mean its super easy).

I can also do Tier 4 without much of a problem but I just get a lot less rewards at the end. I still have a ton of masterwroking to do, and have several items not 925 yet. (I really dont want to MW a non-925.

Haven’t even tried tier 5. maybe? I’d like to get geared up more first. Ive had really bad RNG when it’s come to gear drops.

Whirlwind Barbarian.

technically anything above level 50 for a character is End game content…
