Chose Hellborne, the whole round it did not spawn Hellborne.
Oh right Blizzard does not do math. Hence the RNG is broken ![]()

There is no true RNG in any video game. Once you realize this life gets a lot easier.
While true unless they break their PRNG (you have to really suck at programming to get here considering there’s free models on github for this crap that are more than effective) then it won’t really matter because PRNGs are typically so convoluted that they might as well be random.
I’m betting Blizzard has a problem with consolidating builds. Something internal is all screwy with their process and it’s resulting in changes not making it to the live patch.
It’s happened more than a few times and it’s got to change. Be it a new game director who understand the scope of the scheduling and processes for consolidation or putting some poor employee under review because they keep screwing up the job at a stage where it’s no longer an easy fix but an expensive fix due to certification on consoles.
So basically never for D4, if we’re being real. I know little about programming a game like this, but I imagine this in particular would take some time given the coding they use for their own games. We still have the issue of stash space mind you, and expecting them to magically fix RNG just seems like another thing to add to the list of things they’ll never get around to.
It might not even be a problem with RNG.
“One round there was a bug.”
Okay. Yeah?
They need to rename it the Mass and Spire disappointment. That was a really fun part of the game when the Hordes used to revolve around, well, … hordes.
sipres sux but masses rocks.pay attention what is written especially about the masses Wave start, spawn an Aetheric Mass, Masses spawn an Aether Lord on death, Aether Lords grant +3 Aether, Aetheric Mass grants +1 Aether,
Many of you don’t know this but if you pick summon aether lords (not teaming masses) it stops everything from spawning till they die and basically slows you down if you otherwise had a full list of hellborne and elites
As to the OP that’s how it goes, I’ve had 10 wave runs where all I got were spire and masses options.
Probably, appropriate topic to ask here.
Is it worth doing Hordes compared to Nightmare dungeons and Undercity?
i feel that it doesn’t
Undercity is the fastest method of course but you find those in NMs and hordes. If your gear is at the highest level it’s faster to do NMs not accounting refinements but you find more refinements from hordes so hordes pulls ahead when both are factored in. I usually do hordes because in NMs you actually have to pick up obducite and with a perma tele sorc you would miss a ton unless you slow down
It can happen. Did T2 IH with Irris last night and we got the best RNG on the selection. Ended up finishing with 995 either.
than you rush to kill lord and earn that 3 aethers asap, right?nothing wrong with that i think?
Yes I’m a BIS geared sorc they melt they still mess up runs.
Especially since every Aether Lord that spawns for 3 Aether, is a spawn that is not a Hellborne pack! Almost always a poor option.
Depends only on the question what you want? Efficiency or fun?
More efficient is the undercity, more fun, for me as example, is doing both from time to time.
And yeah hellborn are great but mass masses with spawn aether lords are also cool.
