Infernal Horde Bosses - Fix Them

WAY too much mobility. It’s one thing to have their teleport ability across the room, but the constant running around, not okay.

You keep doing this then eventually acknowledge it’s a garbage design. Uncertain why you cannot eventually just learn your lesson out of the gate with content.

I spent ~30minutes clearing a tier 7 Hordes just to die to the last of the three bosses when they were at ~30%. The boss teleported across the room every ~10seconds and did NOT STOP MOVING the WHOLE TIME.

Either drop their movement by 3/4 OR REMOVE THE STAGGER CAP. Truthfully, my vote would be on removing the stagger cap. My lightning spear ate the stagger on all three of them when I was just focusing one down. Which is pretty bullcrap.

Did you get it that time?

Are we going to have to have this conversation again the next time you release content?

Edit: I want to clarify, I do love the changes you made to the ice spike build. I legit LOVE the new Blue Rose. But you can buff the spec just shy of one shotting bosses, if the boss can’t stay still for even a small margin, any changes you made to the build are 100% moot. Please understand the frustration.

I can imagine how annoying AF that would be with blizz sorc. I play that build every season, so I know your pain from past seasons.

lol, as much as i am having fun in D4, i do feel like these ‘modern blizz’ devs are so damn clueless. I feel like blizz doesnt hire game developers , they hire research anaylists, data engineers, psychiatrists and leave the CS to ai bots.

Not sure any single person in the diablo teams has even ever played a diablo game. Just throwing darts blindly at a board that only seems to have 4 possible points. heh.

It is what it is.

Some builds are going to be more suited to certain content than others, that’s not a bad thing.

It’d be less painful if we had an armory, though.

it being the new end game content, yes that is a massive issue. Don’t have builds that are based on ground effects if you are going to have 30+min content bosses not stop moving. OR do not have a cap on boss staggers (currently three then the stagger bar progs at ~10% of the first three).

I legit had ~350 ether and I died when the last of the three bosses was at ~30% because it eventually one shot me. My lightning spear tapped out it’s three staggers while I was killing the first two.

Horribly trash design.

It is new, but it is not THE end-game content. You can always do The Pit or NMDs. You can also ask someone for help.

Not all of the bosses stay on the move. There’s 4 bosses? Only 1 of them is always on the move. 1 of them teleports, 1 of them follows you and the other one sits static in the middle.

Always kill the one that’s moving first, he’s the most annoying to deal with and the others will if you’re using any kind of AoE build likely die or at least get close to it while you kill the one that’s moving around.

If you get the runner and the teleporter (although I think both teleport), then yeah, that’s not fun, but it’s 0-33% of the boss fight, depending on which bosses you get.

And if you’re on T7 and having this issue, you’re doing almost top-end content within a day. Maybe cry less about how you’ve managed to progress so far so quickly.

I can barely do T5 and T6 just wipes me out, the bosses are the easy bit though.

Does not change the fact that making a boss that never stands still, after a 30min run that doesn’t allow errors is a really bad game design. Particularly when you have specific class builds that rely on ground effects.

Stop making excuses for Blizzard’s bad designs.

I was almost sold with the world boss resilience grieving discussion yesterday, thanks for bringing me back to reality and keeping me true to my word on passing on S5.

I notice that too. I was watching rax and he was complaining about the “bad design” of wall affix in NMD and said he has begged blizzard to not use it since D3. He says it completely negates his build and is too frustrating. I wanted to shout “hey dumb@$$, use evade bats and just fly thru it!” :rofl:
