What if, after level 100, you get more Paragon Points, but you can only spend them filling out Nodes that your Glyphs overlap.
IE: The larger you make your Glyphs via levelling them up; The more Nodes you can fill out.
No new Boards, no getting Nodes outside of a Glyph’s AoE.
This would power up Glyphs, give end-game players more levels, encourage more Nightmare Dungeon playing, and also encourage people to think about what Glyphs they place where.
Blizz could also add a second AoE upgrade to glyphs, to help!
Each glyph at level 4 covers a large areas so this would be like adding 100 character levels+ to the game as all players would just undo points put in these normally and then put in the max level paragon points. Not sure they can do this as it would be too powerful and would give us a new problem where going the ultra fastest routes and getting to 7 or even 8 glyphs if possible would be better than any other route.
I don’t think max level is going to change, but I do believe that the expansion will add to the skill tree a bit and give us more skill points to spend. It probably won’t lead to more paragon points though.
Agree completely. Not that they would ever implement this system mind you, it’d just be a headache, but it would become no longer a choice of glyphs but instead how many boards I could chain together reaching as many glyph nodes as possible.
I may have not been clear enough; The nodes still have to be valid, meaning your points need to reach those nodes. Same as normal. You can’t place a Paragon Point in an isolated node just because it’s in a Glyph’s AoE.
So all this does is give more Paragon Points but limits them to valid choices inside a Glyph’s AoE.
What’s a valid choice then? One that pertains to the glyphs bonus or conditional bonus? Again people would look for glyphs that offered a bigger benefit and incorporate more general nodes.
No matter how you slice it, it would fundamentally change paragon building from the ground up. Just another reason they would never incorporate it.
A valid choice is one that has a selected node next to it. Same as every other node you select.
The idea works the exact same as normal node rules, only it’s limited to picking valid nodes inside a Glyph AoE. Meaning you have to have an active node next to whatever node you want to select.
Yeah that would be a balance mess.
The game isnt exactly lacking extra levels anyway. Just slow down the speed of the current lvls.
The only acceptable type of endless lvls. One that does nothing (well, I guess you could get some cosmetic along the way, but Blizzard want to sell you that).
