What are you playing?
Mats are not capped…

I believe they are an Eternal player, so this is actually a problem for them.

mats are capped at 999,999. I am capped on 2 of them on season play. Raw Hide and Iron chunks. I am doing boss rota, and after 10 kills I got 20 of them on floor getting in the way of picking up items. After 20 kills, I can’t even click all the drops now.

I’m reviving this thread coz I’ve been having the same problem for quite some time now. I’ve capped on several materials and am about to max on a few more.

As mentioned above, it makes it a bit difficult to pick up items on the floor.

What I also found that is a bit concerning is that because Magic and Rare runes do not have a highlight in the mini-map unlike Legendary runes, I’ve actually missed picking them up. Rare runes are easier to see because of the faint yellow color they have on the ground, but the Magic runes, with their faint blue color, are much harder for me to see.

Please keep this under consideration. Thank you and have a nice day. :slightly_smiling_face:

id rather have them reduce mat drops. The sole purpose of resources is for them to eventually run out. If they cant even run out, why have mats at all?

Well, I see them as a resource to improve my toons. Or a resource I can have a lot of fun with using to put together builds I find interesting. I’d rather not hit a wall coz I ran out of mats. :slightly_smiling_face:

With Blizzard constantly buffing and nerfing skills, stats, Aspects etc…I always find that there are quite a few interesting NEW builds I could look at and play around with, and THIS is when I use up a considerable amount of my mats.

But right now, I’m in a lull until the next patch hits. I’ve mentioned before I’m hoping that after this coming patch I’ll have some wiggle room with my mats but at this moment, I’m faced with some difficulty picking up items coz of the clutter AND! I’m causing a TON of trash in town from salvaging and in Boss Lairs.

I can’t sell atm coz I’m about to cap out with my gold as well.

I swear, capping my gold will more than likely discombobulate me coz I can’t even imagine NOT being able to pick up gold!

clear sign that they are just far too available, if you have even so much that you can toy around on your toons while still not running out :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I have to admit though, it is SUCH an enjoyable - and comforting - feeling to have that much stuff to play with and the worry it may run out is unlikely (for now).

But I know how my mind works when it comes to trying new builds…the rabbit holes I find myself in…YIKES! but it’s STILL a lot of fun!

This ofc is the only correct answer…OG drops were fine, but vocal players cried, they raised it current form where they never run out and are basically useless imho. Why do we have them, like for real why ? Only materials that some players might be short are what… Obductide ?
Or why dont they make crafting items at BS a thing ? With current amounts, adding a spender would be only logical… similiar to D3, but with random result and not fixed recipies…prolly coming in next expansion imo
edit: only downside to this soluton is why add another source of legendary/unique items when they are alrdy way to abundant. Who would love to spend 1M of ore to craft items with crafting cost of 100 rawhide or ironchunk

It’s already a thing. 200 rawhide, 200 iron chunks, 200 veiled crystals and 5 forgotten souls for a blacksmith cache which is “guaranteed to contain a legendary item or better.” It’s just not a terribly attractive option because, as you said, drops are already abundant. Maybe if it was a guaranteed ancestral (at an appropriately increased price).

Yep. They either need to add a massive resource sink or remove mats all together. Mats in D4 is as “useful” as gold is in D3.

Mats & gold
Both should be nerfed…

If you’re not using the mats you have, hence you’re ‘capped’, why would you care about picking up more?

OP and several other people already said. They clog up the ground and make it hard to pick up items. I was gem capped and can confirm not only is that annoying, it can also make it annoying to even move and attack.

Frankly instead of raising the cap you should be able to pick them up anyway with no effect, or have them converted to a pittance in gold.

Stop making sense. Don’t you know it’s more fun to make posts complaining about something, than to use a feature already present in the game?

Hey, the whinner & crybabie here it’s me!!!
Stop claiming my place!!!

You know, I tried to fiddle around the “Show Item Labels” in the game but the choices available were limited to 3 and none of them were helpful to me; the game either shows all of the items on the ground, shows the items for a maximum of 10 seconds, shows them when you toggle an assigned key.

Those choices didn’t really help me coz the items were still on the ground, labels or not, but quite few of them obscure the items I’d like to continue picking up, specifically Runes. Like I had posted earlier, the Rare runes were easier to see but the Magic runes are a bit more difficult. I still use a lot of runes for crafting and I’d rather not miss picking them up, which was why I revived this thread.
