If anyone is struggling and you haven’t tried an incinerate build you are missing out.
I started d4 at the end of s3, got my barb to 100 and killed lilith with one day left on the season.
I never felt as strong before 100 on my barb as my incinerate sorc feels. Im able to easily do NMD 50+ at level 75 and everything dies so fast.
I got my frozen orb unique and affixes and tried that out for a bit. Its not a perfect setup by any means but it feels much much weaker than my incinerate build. Fast boss kills, infinite mana, lots of barriers.
The only downside is you cant move while channeling but you honestly only have to stop and hose for a few ticks and everything dies.

Yeah, after seeing all those incinerate aspects I was thinking whether there is some build and if it is good.
You have some link for that build?
Also, is it better than lightning balls?
Dont really have a build link or anything but its straightforward.
Put conflag on amulet slot, put flamethrower on 2h staff. Temper for fire damage / incinerate size.
Fireball/firewall (or incinerate) on enchants. Max armor(9300ish) and resistances and just go for as much fire damage / fire damage over time as possible.
I use soulbrand for easier barriers but its not necessary.
I much prefer flame on Amulet Conflag on2hand and other burning dmg on ring. With Fireball as enhance to make them explode.
I also use Hydra to clear from distance
Interesting. I may have to try swapping them and hitting the dummies. I just assumed bigger number go brrr.
Well the burning passive from Conflag on 2 hand is better than the 3 beam. My 3 beams are still in positive at 128%. But my burning dmg scale by 80% by channeling incineration. And the AoE burn is stronger too who’s also a DoT
On a 2hand, how much is the incinerate size option? Is there overlap on the beams at all?
Not sure offhand and not on the game at the moment. No overlap though.
Still using incinerate at 91 at this point. Can hit about 12m per tick after a few seconds channeling. Only done a 29 pit but it was really easy. Expect to be able to use this well into the 60s (i hope)
That is more than me, so you should be good into the 60s 
Edit: what are you guys tempering for on your gear for offense? I went with fire over time due to all the burning multipliers, but i havent tested fire or vuln on this build yet.
What about the Flamescar unique wand that adds +5 ranks to incinerate? Would that plus flamethrower’s on the ammy be better or worse than flamethrower on a 2h and conflagration on the ammy? Seems to be about a 40% increase in tooltip-damage for incinerate when i equip that wand, for what it’s worth.
I was testing flamescar with sort of a similar thought. The little fire orbs counts as ‘incinerate damage’ and will proc conflagration on targets you may not be focusing ie the chair in the corner of the room lol.
Wasnt to my taste.
The 3 beams can all hit the same target if you are in melee range
Ive tried testing this because i was hoping it was the case, but im not so sure; the aoe you get while channeling a single beam also increases the burn when in the targets personal space.
I never did any actual testing on it but i noticed that a target in melee range gets completely obliterated compared to enemies at a distance. Like way way faster and i dont have any +damage to close enemies. I do have +damage to distant enemies though.
Ill test more tonight; need to masterwork a wand with + incinerate size so see if there is any change
Goal is to find out if the additional beams have an effect or what we are seeing is just the aoe + a beam
There is also PBAOE burning that happens when channeling it. You can see the little ring of flame around your character. IDK what % of the total DPS that accounts for when targeting something in melee range so they take all 3 beams, but i assume it should be considered.
Edit - i see you already mentioned the AOE, sorry missed that. And i suppose an easy test for total dps from is is just shoot your beam in the opposite direction while standing next to target.

Yep, thats what i want to find out. Ill also probably take the skill point out of the pbaoe to test the tri beam vs single beam/check for multihits.
I probably wont use the tribeam effect if it wont multihit. Coming from ice shards without nova, incinerate feels like enough aoe without it.
