Incentive for doing side quest?

This is a topic I haven’t seen anything about but it just hit me… does anybody do side quests ever anymore? Before the renown wasn’t carried over people would do them for some renown points to get their rewards but does anybody even think to do them anymore? Even at very low levels I can’t see myself waisting time on them.

The current rewards(a bag of nothing) is just so underwhelming it hasn’t even been a thought until I was in town looking at my map and saw all the side quest icons.

In Diablo 2 you actually had good incentive to finish certain quests that made a significant impact on your play though, and there wasn’t a whole lot. In Diablo 4 there’s dozens and they’re all so insignificant.

It’d be nice for the side quests to get a little love and buff the rewards you’d get for completing them. With all the talk about wanting more content I think this could be a simple fix, just change the rewards we get.

Is this something that crossed your mind ever? What do you think could be given as a reward for completing side quests?

I do them for the lore, I wish I had an easy way to keep track of the ones I have completed.

A few of the side quests had pretty impressive rewards, like the amulet with 2k health… Apparently some of these rewards were nerfed at some point as I just did this side quest the other day… the health was reduced to around 400… ugh.

Let me track ALL-TIME Side Quests in progress & completed and I’ll consider doing(and completing) them.
Otherwise they’re a big ignore unless one finds a ‘Spotted Mushroom’ randomly and bothers to return it on their next trip to town.

I had one with the bald black priest from the first cinematic. I also had one with Andariel and another with Elias.

I did them the first time. I will do a quick quest if I am headed in that direction anyway or I need some quick exp early in the game to get to next level.

5 paragon points per zone when you complete all of the side quests in the zone.
