In addition to reduced drop rate that means Torment 1 bosses will drop 1 or 2 pieces of uniques ? T1 to T3 the amount of unique drop will be so low and limited that majority of the player base will likely quit playing because hunting down several unique that is required by the build is going to be extremely painful and frustrating experience.
Good luck trying to turn this game into PoE 2. That frustrating experience already exist for players that seeks that type of experience. And you want to turn this game into PoE 2 ?
People that want to play PoE 2 is already playing it. There is a reason why this game should be targeting a difference audience.
Not to mentionā¦ getting mythic is going to be borderline impossible in S8 if you are not making it into Torment 4 and SSF.
In b4 you said you donāt need mythic to play the build you want, well guess what, you donāt need a lot of things in this game to play the game. But is it enjoyable ? is it fun ? if not, people will quit playingā¦

Letās all wait for the PTR and/or season 8 to be released before we jump to any reasonable/logical/realistic conclusion.
It might not be as BAD as you think, you donāt know. So just Chill.
Iām sure people will be in torment 4 just as much as all the other seasons in the past.

I say this every time we get patch notes and people start to freak out and make speculations. I gave up trying. I just scroll to the bottom and select the āMutedā option. Iām not convinced this patch will be their last chance, or that they wonāt change it again in S9.
More power to the people who think the PTR will change before it even starts, I just donāt see it happening. Good luck everyone, see you in the PTR or S8.

Time to return at least a tiny bit of difficulty. Eventually people will even have to start reading what their gylphs, skills, and aspects do! wouldnt that be crazy?
the comparison to poe2 is ridiculous, as d4 will still be on the easy spectrum of arpgs.
