I would like to suggest to the devs to add an in-game mail system that provides a way to send messages, tradeable items and gold to other players. These mailboxes would be located in the town areas. As a nice touch to immersion, they could even add a Postmaster NPC that makes rounds to the various mailboxes throughout Sanctuary.

The developers adding an AH is highly unlikely after the fiasco it caused in D3. I think an in-game mail system would be well received as it wouldn’t undermine the game.

I would appreciate a way to send Tradeable items via a Mail System (like WoW?) to friends while I’m online and they are offline; this is often due to time zones.

I’d use/abuse the mail system for storage space to be honest but yeah. this guy nailed it.
While I agree I wouldn’t want this, in what game have you ever gotten these messages consistently? Through my entire online gaming experience over the years I’ve seen maybe a handful of RMT sellers send me mail.
I’ve yet to get one from a disgruntled player. They’ll just send me a whisper or /say /shout it.
i’ve gotten them in every MMO i’ve ever played.
I mean they would need to make it so you could only send mail to people on your friends list

so then the friend request spam kicks in as soon as you log in or /join a chat channel.
the bots are always one step ahead. always wondered what they revered to get the
/whois info in games that do not have that feature

I’ve only ever gotten RMT spam in mailboxes. People who want something from me typically /whisper or something along those lines. Feel like I’m missing out on all the good stuff.

Actually, they should remove Trading from Player-to-Player entirely. Instead, allow Trading to be performed with NPCs into a Black Market. What you put into the Market gives you better options to Trade for.
