This game needs to smooth out its item rarity drop % chance more with items at every drop % relative to their power. Whether its .0001% .01% 1%, 3%, 5%, 10% and so on. The issue I see right now is that the the gap between regular uniques and mythic uniques is way too large leaving no items as “chase items” in between that margin.
We don’t need another major classification tier for these items either ( maybe we do idc really). We didn’t need that in D2 either to know that Griffs Eye was more rare than shako but both were uniques. Honestly just put awesome items at every drop % chance especially in between the gap of regular uniques and mythic uniques. This would vastly improve the item chase in this game imo.
Cosmetic chase items. These could be ultra rare ubers with alternate cosmetic looks.
Epic (purple items). Epic items are just like legos but always drop with max affix aspects, always have at least 1 GA, and when enchanting have no weights.
I’m not asking for items that just have “more prefect rolls” as an automatic different item classification. That is not the “itch” for the issue I am pointing out. Its really simple - we don’t need this large gap between regular uniques and mythic uniques without other specific/unique items filling that gap with varying drop % chances. I’m not asking for “ancient / primal” items that D3 had which is essentially what reminds me of the solution you suggested. Just the actual item itself has a rarity that falls between regular and mythic uniques at varying drop % chances.
