Call it what it is. For as long as this bug has been ignored and no word about it to the player base i’m going to call it a nerf not a bug.
they have had every chance to address this by now due to all the forum spam and streamers reporting it. They haven’t hotfixed it because it’s an undocumented nerf. I can find no other reason why they would ignore this issue even after doing a fireside. They have recognized other bugs but not this one.
at the very least they could have acknowledged it.
I saw someone mentioning that Blizzard has indeed acknowledge this bug somewhere and the fix will be included in patch 1.1.1.
This is obviously weird cuz existing players in eternal realm whom have added 3 points to it still have the 3 points intact so I doubt this is an intended nerf.
That person pulled that info out of their prune hole.
No dev mentioned that specifically through twitter. The only thing acknowledged is that a hotfix for bugs is coming this week by Adam Fletcher and that was just a couple of hours ago.
And even if a dev did mention it through a reply through twitter, we should not have to be digging through some external social media to find information like this. It should be on their Battle.net page.
The worse part about this is, if they intended to nerf it, they should also remove it from the existing players. This is damn strange. I hope they shed some light on this soon, but nonetheless, I’m still having fun with this class over sorcerer.

why would they bother to remove the points on eternal realm charcters? only characters that have 3 points in it now are on eternal realm and that realm doesn’t matter. it’s basically a trophy graveyard since it never gets seasonal content or items. hence no reason to ever play it.
meanwhile necros get nerfed on seasonal server.

Yea because it’s 100% fun to play broken class because of changes needed on the seasonal server that has seasonal changes in it to make up for them but the enteral realm doesn’t get those changes.

Only thing that eternal didnt get are hearts. I bet they will change it in the future so eternal realms will get full seasons cause to many players nag about it. Also idc about relvling, eternals > seasons. There are much more ppl like me who plays eternal. I mean sure I have char on season realm but I dont like playing there at all.

I think one of the other Blizz devs (not Adam Fletcher later confirmed that the Imperfectly Balance bug WILL be fixed in patch 1.1.1).

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Lots of people play on the Eternal Realm. Not everyone has an interest in playing Seasons and leveling a new character up all over again. I’d wager that more players play on the Eternal Realm than the Season Realm. Out of the group of friends I have that play Diablo, only one of them ever plays Seasons. The rest of them have zero interest in leveling their character again from level 1.
Oh come on, if you look at season/league vs non in any D2/3/poe/etc the season/league dramatically dwarfs the non in terms of players, trade, etc. the player counts literally rise and fall with the season. If you’d wager it then great I’ll take the other side and take your money too.
