Immunities and multiplayer

Hey all,

Was playing today and complaining about how none of the skills in d4 help each other. D3 and d2 both has ways to help teammates but d4 keeps everything about you. Things that totally should help teammates (like spirit born gorilla ult) just don’t. I guess they have a hard enough time balancing just yourself. But they force multiplayer so much. Not as bad as d2 but definitely on par with 3- between loot drops and exp being better, and having a much easier time doing timed events, pretty beneficial to have a party.

So here’s my proposal. Add more skills that help each other out. And on top of that, once a second player comes into a game, start adding single immunities to enemies so you may have to rely on teammates to help. And when 4 players join add two immunities.

Greetings! I’m sorry you have a rough time playing this you do point out good points though. First, I will say to not compare D4 to D3 and D2 most people do this making many situation more confusing. D4 went into a different path than the other games the Devs were clear on this so the past games will not be helpful.

The skills do help eachother even in teams at first it is hard to notice this. A group get postitive effect when players use “incense” this has 3 types.

Diablo 4, incense can be crafted at the Alchemist and are categorized into three types:

  • Type I: Increases Armor by +200 for all nearby players and increases Experience by 5%. Lasts 20 minutes.

  • Type II: Increases Strength by 25 for all nearby players and increases Experience by 5%. Lasts 20 minutes.

  • Type III: Increases Dexterity by 25 for all nearby players and increases Experience by 5%. Lasts 20 minutes.
Each type of incense can be active at once, and players can benefit from one incense of each type at a time. Incense buffs last for 20 minutes and do not persist through death, but they can be used to buff other players in the vicinity.

This will also depends on each player build and gear. If they have low resistance they maynot help much. They need to have high in order to advance through the torment levels. Once you see green resistance then this means you’re about to reach max so if you have this buff on your group who is the same as you then you’re in good hands.

Sprit born plays differently than the rest no other class comes close. They have made it a very fun class to play as. Gorilla sprit born is all about the defense and thorns. The ult protects the player from the foe while a gorilla send shockwaves damages. The ult skill path is large for spritborn and you’re right about the balence because a player have to know how to do it properly since the class plays so differently. Each type has thier own uqnie style of playing it can be hard to master.

Your proposal is sound! In my own opinion I will say start at a certain location until you find one immunity for the foe then search for more location across the world where there’s a vast range of immuinty numbers for foes to play with. I do this all of the time to farm exp then I move on to more harder ones. I’m sure a guide can help you out.
