Actually no need to imagine. We are all here together!
Don’t think there was until RoS in D3. Diablo 2 only had Paladin, right?
Wasn’t aware that was a requirement for a game…
D4 doesn’t even have armor types. The different appearances are all just cosmetic.
D1 had one, D2 had one.
LE has one. PoE. Torchlight. Grim Dawn. Titans Quest.
Wolcen. No rest for the wicked.
Inquisitor Martyr.
People are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Any excuse to constantly hate on a game they should’ve left months ago. Next it’ll be about the shoes people wear, or the fact the hairstyles aren’t culturally appropriate, or maybe Liliths lipstick isn’t the right shade. Who knows.
I’m sure it’ll come. From what I’ve seen Prava and the Cathedral of Light are still out for the player character BUT I don’t think they have a big presence in Vessel of Hatred. So my bet is the 2nd expansion may focus more on that story line, which was built up near the end of the base game, and then a Paladin/Crusader/Knight will very likely be the class along with that.
I actually like the game, nice try.
Are you sure about that? It’s ok to dislike the game by all means.
There are several barb sets that look a lot like plate to me.
Hell, I’ve got a set on my rogue from the battle pass that looks like plate lol The armor doesn’t say things like leather, plate, etc like someone pointed out above.
The paladis are at it a gain.
Not needed. It’s about killing demons, not defending against them.
One of the many innovations brought to you by the D4 team! Only bested by getting people to spend 100 dollars on a game that’s lacking basic features every game from 2010 had!
Well, if someone needs to reinvent the wheel each time, instead of taking everything that works and put it together, this is how it neds.
tell that to the people who cry about uber lilith or the pit
but yea, the “str plate class” makes no sense, due to the fact, as correctly stated, there arent armor types in d4.
Just say a Paladin-like class that can go SnB or 2H with Auras with high defense. Doesn’t have to have Holy Magic. Pick your dumb lore rationale here. Pretty sure this was and is the most popular class by a wide margin.
you can be sure of anything. some people also are sure that the earth is flat.
at the end of the day it doest matter tho, as blizzard probably got a rough storyline and expansion plan going on. so yea. now its the spiritborn.
By the numbers, Paladin was the most popular Class in Diablo 2. It is the second most popular in D2 Resurrected.
do you care to share these numbers?
i didnt see a poll on reddit or other platforms. would be great if you could at least hint me a direction (if it breaks the coc to link it, you know, im the self appointed forum police ;P)
You can do some Googling, but it is an easy find. Anyone who bothered playing Diablo II would tell you Paladin was widely popular and considering the amount of posts on these forums alone asking for Paladin and surprised it was both not included at release or Expansion should be enough to tell you that. I think in BG3 like 63% of players rolled Paladins or some ridiculous number. It is almost always one of the most represented classes and rarely ever in the bottom.
