Image burn-in on OLED display?

Just casual player here, mileage is 140hrs .

I noticed a slight burn in of the skill bar on the lower left corner of the screen, not severe and it went away after I used the built-in ‘conditioning app’ .

This never happened to other games during the 3-yr period that I owned the display, so maybe it’s due to the particularly bright skill-bar ?

So maybe it’d be quite nice if future updates may include an option to dim the brightness of the skill bar ?

What brand and tv model? I’ve found it impossible to get burn-in on my lg c2.

Sony A90J (or A9J on other markets)

Same here, it’s my primary display and used for tons of cable TV with big chunky channel logo plus around 300 hours of division 2 but never noticed any burn-in before, only Diablo4, which is weird.

LG has some very nice anti-burn in tech that other manufacturers dont have.

Most OLEDs that arent LG will burn in playing video games, especially ones with lots of red.

Time to get a new oled with another 3 year warranty

Ah the confirms my suspicion. Lg has better burn in tech. Highly recommend if you are going to use an oled as a gaming monitor.

This should be impossible. Unless it’s not true OLED and using some type of combination of phosphors and OLED?

It could be a type of projections OLED technology.

300+ hours on D4 with an LG oled c2(42) along with some tv shows throughout the day on the computer, and I have yet to see burn in, while it’s possible it’s pretty rare with the technology they have now.
