I'm surprised how hyped I am to play Necromancer now

I wasn’t expecting this before I played the early access beta but now I’m really struggling to be patient so I can see how the necromancer plays.

I’m going to be so sad if it doesn’t feel good at all lol because I think they will be the best looking class in the game and I love the theme and aesthetic they bring.

Also really hoping we get to unlock their specialization in act 1 it’s a real shame we can’t do that for barbarian and druid.

i am hoping they interact better along the quests with blood sacrifices and such

feel rogue and barbarian had no difference in personality and interaction with npcs

I was very forgiving on the beta with any dialogue because they literally voice acted every single quest in the game plus a ton of other random flavour dialogue NPCs can give if you click on them.

I was not happy with how inconsistent it was with skipping dialogue/cutscenes when I was playing the 2nd and 3rd class but Im sure they will fix that by June because they already have the option to skip, they just have to go in and polish it up a little so that skip option is always there.

I’m stoked for druid and especially necromancer. I think I’m going to have 4 different necros on release, one for each build type.

Looked at their skills i did not see a golem skill nor skelly skill that stays with you the 1 i saw lasted 15 seconds or so

this is what worries me. if there were different variations they would be recorded already?

A dev said it can have up to 12 summons…
That is either by default or with aspects equipped.
But man am i hyped to try it out XD.

And i just want to play the game in general, i really loved the combat, but it had a lot of things that didn’t make sens and i would like to see them changed.

In case you want to take a look at what Necro is getting there you go! :sunglasses:

That’s interesting but also now I’m confused. There are no skills on the tree that unlock minions, just buffs for them, so where do you get the ability to summon skele war/mage/priest and the golem?

Wait until friday. That datamine for Necro is missing loads off stuff. Skeletons seems to be Ultimate Army Of Dead, there are some Golem related Skill nodes and some kind of Summoned Spirit. There will be much more + Legendaries etc.

Not hyped but the first three classes we got to play were so underwhelming that I’m actually interested in the false hope that maybe they will be more fun.

Necromancers have a special thing called the Book of the Dead, where they unlock minions over time, can choose between different types, or even sacrifice using a minion for a buff.

Yeah, this. Search for “Diablo 4 Build Calculator” and click on Lothrik’s github link.

Explains the Book of the Dead

The ability of summoning minions come with the Necromancer’s unique class ability: Book of The Dead. It is separate from their skill tree.

Necros have the most complex class ability of all the classes.

How many hours did you tested?

I am also excited to play necro, I think when the game officially launches ill be playing necro and druid as my mains.

I dunno played all weekend got to level 20 finished the act and leveled all three classes. There was nothing all that new or interesting about any of them. Very plain and boring effects aside from a few exceptions and it’s the same shyte we’ve seen for decades. Boggles the mind that we didn’t get a single new class or even a reimagining of an old class just the same thing we’ve been doing for 25 years. I’ve fired so many fireballs and swung so many axes I could do it in my sleep. Is it too much to ask for something different?

D4 Skill Tree is just the base foundation. And unfinished one. There will be Legendaries, Paragon Boards, Jewels, Gems, Unique items, Sacred and Ancestral items.
