I can do a pit 100 in around 9 minutes… I know this build can go sub 5 minutes for pit 100s.
I’m just not sure how to push my character to go 4 minutes faster.
I’ve tried with both Strike of Stormhorn and Okun’s Catalyst equipped, both are similarly timed (Stormhorn was a little faster, but not by much)
This is my current Gear set; I’m currently Paragon 245, so there’s very little room to grow there w/ 100, 100, 89, 86, 81 on my gylphs and 97.6% crit chance https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/ni11fo0c
I know my ring and amulet slots are bad
the Ring of Starless Skies is what it is… there’s no real way to control the RNG on that.
If I get another 3bil laying around, I’ll probably buy the runes to craft a new one and hope it’s better.
So that really just leaves the amulet slot.
I’ve been dumping all my Obols into the amulets and opening any Amulet chest I see in helltides. I’m just not sure if there’s anything else I could be doing to up my build besides looking for a new Amulet and praying a new Starless Skies drops.
You really need perfect gear to run 100’s in 5 minutes which you do not have. So…keep farming for it. That’s probably the only way. Yes, Sorc amulets with the exact skills on it are the most rare items. Best otherwise is two you want and then enchant the third. Passives are the hardest to get. It’s the only thing I usually gamble. When speed running pits I get a ton of obals.
That’s super reassuring… I was worried I was missing something critical, but I guess it was just 50% people exaggerating about their build 50% people having BiS near perfect gear
I do have a few GA Inner Flame amulets, so I think I can boost my power by a bit if I swapped to one of those
Don’t bother grinding Bro. The sorc got nerfed. Tal rasha got nerfed down to 20%. The ring is pretty much useless. I picked it up now at P265. The sorc feels so weak this season. I wouldn’t grind too hard, you’re just going to end up disappointed. Blizzard for some reason always seem to be interfering with the sorc and making things worse. I quit on Friday night. I picked it up too late after 2 weeks of grinding. My strategy going forward is to not play the next season at season start and instead start 2 weeks later, to see what they nerf. If the sorc is still bad, I’d roll eternal, take a break and wait until they do something about it.
I manage to get it down to a 6 minute and 20 second run for pit 100
I swapped +5 Icy Touch / +30% int amulet into a +6 Inner Flame / +20% int Amulet. (I guess the math works out that % Damage while healthy > Vulnerability damage)
Then I was missing two Int nodes in my Adept glyph and one dex node in my Destruction glyph
So I dropped a couple Damage Reduction while healthy nodes since manashield makes you basically unkillable already
and got those three nodes for a bonus +50.4% mastery damage and +33.4% Crit damage
I did a Pit 100 last night in 8 mins… with all 5 glyphs at 53. Paragon 229.
Mekuna’s pit pushing BL build… +41 BL (+44 with rune buffs) and I can hit +42 (+45) when I triple crit the last item. GA core skills or BL on helm, gloves, boots, ring and offhand horn… neck is ga int/inner flames with an enchant triple crit +6 on permafrost.
I saw that 124 is the top pit clear for sorc this season… but I’m gunning for it.
Bar is spark, LS, bliz, FB, BL and UC. Aspects are tenuous destruction ring, inner calm wand and orange herald boots.
To the guy complaining about nerfs to sorc and Tal Rasha… LOL… ain’t even using that ring.
P.S. IMO Okun’s is garbage compared to the horn… +300% damage and rapid fire from range just owns the okun’s lawnmower playstyle.
