I'm no aesthete, but is the Druid armor kinda meh?

I feel like all the other classes have more than a few sets I find really appealing, but my Druid just looks super lame in almost all of his armor sets. :face_exhaling:

Honestly I agree. Necro, Barbarian, and Sorc have amazing armor sets. Rogues are ok. Druids are mostly pretty meh. There are like 1 or 2 that I think are ok. If I ever level my Druid up I hope I get that bear form all the time unique. Thing is the druid sets in the shop aren’t any better.

I am a dream bliz customer and hope to be heard…
let me clarify my opinion…

I started on d1 and have all of them… d1 d2 d2r dI, d3 etc

i have d4 ultimate on pc, d4 on ps4 too, sucessfully got Ashavas cry, have a job and kids…
On D4 i have all hero classes min lvl 15… sorc at 23, my MAIN hero DRUID 51… all with bought shop cosmetics EXCEPT druid - because their cosmetics suck!… … i’d really like to buy a druid outfit too but what is our choice?

  • druids aren’t traditionally christian so the stupid thorns of penitence or whatever is innapropriate (since most druids were killed by christians historically)…
  • im a druid not a f-ing pirate so bliz can stick the wanna be captain sparrow stuff somewhere outta sight and
  • the watchers look just sucks n blows all at once (nice idea in theory tho)

PLEASE draw us up some good pagan / celtic / druidy gear worth spending money on?!

The shop sets arent cheap but i know art takes time and that costs, then its gotta fit the hero in 3d… coulda been worse so no complaint there, but maybe have a single item buy option thats a bit cheaper? (might not fit the business plan)

Maybe do a cool detailed Green Man cosmetic or a Pan or better yet some more shapeshift options like a walking tree or a flying creature or something?

i love the idea another poster had of giving the option for gear to change your shapeshift look if you wanted… wanna see a warewolf in body armour at some stage

PS I use both free grind-n-find gear looks AND bought cosmetics on most of my heros. Some of the free stuff looks really bloody good imho

Look forward to seeing a fancy-looking tosser runnin about in the game soon  lol

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I disagree. I think druid has some of the coolest armor sets there are (the free ones anyway). To clarify, I think all of the armor sets in the cash shop are butt right now.

The wolf armor set is so sick on the druid. And there’s the ā€œrunesā€ armor set, where he has that rune necklace and the runic kilt. Those are without a doubt some of my favorite armor sets in the game right now. The only thing I wish was that the runic set had a cool helmet to go with it. Some of the druid helmets look so dumb.

Anyway, hopefully you can find a transmog you’re happy with OP

So from the few responses here, seems I’m at least not alone in this opinion, and that even Salvation, who likes the base appearances, thinks the ones in the shop are pretty unappealing, which most of us seem to agree with. That’s unfortunate.

I have put together a couple mix and match sets that I like  , but I have to admit to being partial to a more metallic aesthetic. I know he’s the nature guy and all that but something tells me that some steel plate is going to do a better job against the hordes of hell than most of this fabric. Plus, his chunky frame makes clothing just look less ā€œsleekā€, for lack of a better word.

Never played a Drudad, but I looked in the shop and one of their paid cosmetic sets that costs like $20 looks like something coughed up by a cat.

I too like the D2 druid look better. I’ve always been a ā€œsleekā€ guy myself, so I think the wolf outfit would be soooo much cooler looking if the dude was build more for speed than power.

And no, you aren’t alone in the opinion. I know quite a few players that don’t like the druid transmogs at all. Also, I’ve seen a similar consensus (outside of necromancer) that the majority of the cash shop transmogs just don’t cut it.

The sorcerer’s coven set would look good on a druid.

I made a tweet thread of the druid sets. Its missing the pvp set though because I haven’t done much pvp yet. Its also missing the transmog set that is bugged won’t let you salvage their items.

Art is so subjective but my feedback is that some of the threads had a really good design goals,
Exceptional, furlined, adventurer, boneweave, doom, glorious, highland, zischagg, runic, weathered, coven, are all wonderful sets.

Leather doublet strider, and tunic sets are bit basic but they work. Warlord is great except the helmet seems a bit small.

Sturdy is just a worse adventurer set. I don’t see the point of this set. Sandworn is a little disappointing but maybe thats a me problem? the top is so plain and boring I guess is my problem with it. Etched doesn’t look good on the druid body imo.

Primal, Sovereign and archon are the same items. thats disappointing.

Heavy is just a less creative glorious set which is a shame.

I wanted to be this guy with D4 cosmetics but they priced me out of the shop. At $5 a pop I’d probably eventually buy all that crap, but for $25? Sorry, can’t do it in good conscience. Really lame after spending months farming up just about every last cosmetic in D3 years ago, too. :face_exhaling:

I really like some of the free in-game cosmetics though tbh… so i support bliz in both areas - free grind-n-find and buy-a-look… they have done it pretty well i think… i use both bought bits and free play items anyway in the heros look…
some of the free cosmetics really look great.
