I'm finding it hard to stay motivated to play

… not because I don’t like the game, but because Season 1 starts in just a few week from now, so why put the work in now? It seems like an odd choice to release the game without season 1, have people grind away, and then expect them to almost immediately start over just a few weeks later.

I almost feel like season 1 should be a one-off where you don’t have to start over, but I’m sure I’m in the minority there. lol

Season 1 is at least a month away. Middle to the end of July.

You don’t have to start over. Your Eternal Character stays eternal. Seasons are “opt in”.

Seasons aren’t really “opt in”. The entire endgame revolves around seasons.

What is the point of investing time in Season 1?

It’s only going to start over in Season 2.

They introduce new items in seasons that you will only see in Eternal at the end of the season.

You’re missing my point. Seasons are quarterly and we’ll get new skins, etc.

This is a matter of weeks.

You play the game for skins?

I play the game because I enjoy the gameplay

Skins are one of the many reasons I play, yes. That’s not exactly weird in a gear focused game. The fun is playing and earning new stuff. Not playing the same thing over and over and getting nothing new.

Season are good because it’s a fresh start, it brings a lot of people back, they introduce new items, new cosmetics and new features but if you’re someone who doesn’t have much time to play the game I can understand why it sounds atrocious to you.

Right now is a good time to throw away recourses to try specs for season 1. I think thats the whole point of pre-season.

Honestly doesn’t really bug me and I’ve loved the D3 seasons but…

I genuinely feel it may be too soon to introduce new mechanics when so many, glaring, bugs remain to be ironed out…

Talk about punishing your dev team…

I understand the concept of seasons. I understand why they exist.

But, my point is…

The entire game is based on replaying it, over and over and over and over.

So,

If you want to quit playing release. You probably will want to quit seasonal gameplay.

The game has only been out for a handful of days, including early access

I will play seasons however once I will be done with season I will go back to Eternal, my season characters will be funneling their power and gains into my Eternal main, may he reign forever.

Are you like, not reading my posts? I have no issue with seasons. lol

I don’t think it’s a good time at all with all the nerfs what’s viable today won’t be viable next week

Season 1 will not go live until early August if you ask me.

People will probably be complaining by the time it releases.

Personally, I’m going to use this time to get the Lilith boosts, which will carry over, and try at least 3 of the classes to see what I want to play in Seasons. I’m glad they’re giving us time to test things before Seasons come.

I am going to run through all classes if at all possible to make sure that I have a good feel of how each plays.
