The game is ok, I would keep playing but blizzard destroyed my f list because of D4. I would keep playing if it wasn’t a completely solitary experience. So for the last month I’ve been doing random groups in discord and my f list is full of people I don’t know or want there.
I feel it’s rude to just remove people, but I don’t feel like dealing with getting spammed group invites by people i don’t know.
This game is a dumpster fire of incomplete visions. If it’s a single player game, hades is better, if it’s a multiplayer game Poe is better.
Poe is only better because there’s an economy, and trade, and groups. Really, the mechanics are fine in D4 and it’s more accessible than Poe. But the f list issue is stupid.
So you added people to your friends list, and now you’re upset they’re on there, but at the same time you don’t want to remove them. Right…that’s all the games fault…
Obviously it’s the games fault since it’s forcing me to add people to play in groups. If this is a single player game it’s a terrible single player game that can’t hold a candle to hades or GoW or horizon.
This is only a good game if it’s multiplayer. And to be multiplayer you have to add random strangers to your f list which is dumb. I am done with it.
When? Find when I ever said I quit. I was pretty excited for season, and I didn’t even care about the nerfs. You can click on my name and see my posts, find any where I said I quit.
I don’t see any other reasons to quit over, the mechanics and stuff are fine, activities in groups are fun enough and everything is basically there to make an arpg, but this BS workaround I have to do to get a group going is dumb.
Again, if this is a single player game it’s a very bad one.
It’s ok as a multiplayer game, but having to add people to f list to group is dumb. And now I have to deal with purging f list which I don’t even want to start. I’d rather quit.
I still have no idea how anyone defending this game can pick apart phrases or select text without actually reading the entire post and then claim that they truly stand by design decisions. It’s clear through the entire message - of which was thoughtfully and well described to others - that the issue is with lack of interaction in the game and no communication.
Yet you picked out the one portion of it that you could use as a talking point to add weight to your snarky remark. Unbelievable.
Then we get posts from others on here complaining about those that complain. You’re all doing more damage to the community than those with actual complaints. Seriously. Bunch of trolls.
I missed any sort of critique that points out why this game is bad solo or how that relates to your personal friends list being full, you unwilling to remove people that you probably didn’t know to begin with.

yea, because my f list isnt random diablo tinder. if you are on my f list you earned your spot there. and you get to stay there.
i cant afford to deal with 100 random discord people on my f list. i dont want to and i will not.
as a solitary experience, a single player game, the skills are crap, the droprates are bad, and its not fun. its too slow, its too clunky, its too laggy, its too everything. its not a single player game. its a bad single player game and there are hundreds of thousands of better single player games. Ori and the will of the wisps is a better single player arpg than this, but this is a GOOD enough multiplayer game. if only it was multiplayer.
this is frustrating because ive been hanging on to d4 for a while knowing this will eventually cause some massive frustration. from 20012 to 2023 only 7 people made it to my f list. i now have to remove 90 some ppl. again my f list isnt craigslist personals. and i will not treat it as such no matter how incompetent the game devs are.
I don’t understand what your prerogative is here. Do you want it to be single player or do you want it to be multiplayer? You can play the entire game by yourself.
Friends list are comprised of people you meet in-game. I don’t know what else you really expected.
im not re-explaining the situation for you, everything you asked has already been answered in a subsequent post after the OP. basically, its only good as multiplayer, and its only good if i dont have to add people to my f list and get spammed with random group invites every time i log in by random people i did a dungeon with once.
