This new gem that autocasts is actually pretty cool. Basically it kind of acts smart and casts things based on need. So if you dont have max minions it will auto-cast skele priest to raise one, otherwise it casts corpse tendrils and corpse explosion. Really helps out with Necro corpse targetting. I don’t know about anyone else but so far I’m enjoying myself.

What gem is that? I haven’t seen it yet, I am currently level 26, so I don’t know if it is a level requirement.
Its called Vicious Heart: Walking near a corpse automatically activates a corpse skill on your bar every second. It’s a pretty wild gem.

Dude the corpse tendril spam is actually insane, it makes it even more overpowered if you go a blood build and have corpse tendrils spawn blood orbs when they go off. You can get an insane fortify/overpower blood lance build out of it. Also the fact that corpse tendrils dont actually even consume the corpse makes it even crazier.

I’m doing trusty 'ol bone spear but yeah it’s extremely good. Being able to have that much CC and vuln down is massive. Also helps getting stagger on boss since tendrils was basically the main way to build that stagger bar.
I might switch to blood lance to try it out.
I just wish they explained this aspect better because it sounds awful. As written it leads one to think it will randomly pick just a corpse skill from your bar and use up it’s cooldown which is worthless.
But instead it free casts a corpse skill every second and even will spawn minions. Pretty damn good for a basic heart that’s easy to find.
I actually started rogue this season and wasn’t feeling it so went necro and I’m really liking the necro hearts a lot more.
More buffs for rod fergusson’s thorns minion necro I see
Oh no, I doubt Thorns will ever be viable with how trash the damage is lol.

There is a gem which use a corpse every second, and Skelton spell use corpse, so you get Autocast for resummoning Skelton or the heal from priest.
I mean yea, thats how seasons work…then a new cool power comes out.

Actually no, they don’t work that in PoE or D2R. The majority of the mechanics and items are brought into the main game with a few exceptions.
I mean I already have a 100 Necro on eternal realm…this is my second Necro. All I really care about is trying this new stuff out and progressing through the seasonal stuff. Killed Uber Lilith and cleared NM100 already on Eternal. For me it’s going to be about trying out a new build or builds and downing the new Uber boss. Yea maybe they will change it later on and bring seasonal buffs over to eternal realm, but at this point Eternal realm to me doesn’t really matter.

I mean I have played most every season of D3 so I’m not sure what this means. Just because I enjoy something and you don’t doesn’t mean I’m being manipulated. Someone going against what you prefer isn’t automatically nefarious behavior.

Yes but wouldn’t it make more sense if that gem was simply part of your ability tree as a selectable option, instead of it needing a whole season invested around it’s existance?
