The setting is called Resolution Scaling. It is a drop down box.
The last two nVidia patches had complaints about crashes but only in a handful of games.
So it could be either. An issue with nVidia patch, but then why do other game outside the handful work fine with them?
OR
in the implementaion of these handful of games with something in the patch. Which makes more sense. It is pointless to speculate as we don’t see the actual errors being generated, Fenris is like a generic error wrapper. All we can do is hope the Diablo Devs ficgure it out.
I am on the latest nVidia patch currently 566.03. Other have said rolling back to the one 2 patches ago has solved their crashing.
@FFlegend, I made some posts about the settings I changed in the other crash threads.
In addition I turned off Chromatic Abberation, and the last check box before distortion in case those are on for you.
You can look to before that as well in my post history, but that one sums up most of it. I have a 3090ti and 32GB of DDR5 6400mhz ram, so it can impact anyone, my system is more than capable for this game.
Give them a try, if you like.
The issue is not the Resolution Scaling alone, but you are lowering the memory the game uses by turning that and some other things off.
I was crashing with Fenris error every hour in week 1. Last few days(4 or 5days) it has been only twice. The devs must be working on it, as every patch from Blizzard makes it a little better.
I also got some stuttering earlier today, I posted it in the thread Adam responded in. This is not something that happened before this morning so …on their end possibly.
He posted this in that thread:
…aaaand there is another client update right now.
