S5 was the most balanced, sure sorc were strong especially in pits but everyone but barbs was able to beat 150. Barbs were obliterated because of people crying about bash in s4 even though it wasn’t even the strongest build just the easiest entry point because initially the tempers carried the class but pure bash without bleed topped out at low 130s. After the LS changes because of server disruption everyone fell in line until like clockwork firebolt shatter got a crazy 10 tier lead on everything just like previous season. This season is lolz and anyone is wasting their time not being on a born
I heard in S7 everytime a druid gets a mythic unique it is transferred to the nearest spiritborn
Haha, I chuckled at this. I had last played a few days ago, was trying to level my Barb alt to see if I could find some enjoyment. Was out in a Helltide alone, killing stuff slowly but methodically. Seeing as I was the only one there I summoned a Blood maiden. Sure enough 2 Spirit Borns came in and I literally couldn’t get to ANY mob in time before they were dead. I’d occasionally kill a couple trash mobs with my mighty throw, but other than that I just stood there until maiden spawned and immediately vaporized.
It was at that point I uninstalled. I was a Spiritborn originally so I had my broken fun for a bit, but man that was depressing from the other side lol. But ya know, need online play to sell MTX, so who cares about gameplay ramifications of anything.
Every season has builds that do that. Druid was ranked as the second worse class for this season, but you chose them, then complain. Other classes are going to be able to do that to you, as well, there are just more SB this season because they are new.
Rather than asking for buffs to the class you are playing, you are asking for nerfs to another class. Not to mention, not all SB builds can do that. There are some OP builds, which I am sure will be addressed. The pit goes to 200 and SB’s can’t even reach that, so maybe think of the SB as a stepping stone to buffing all of the classes in a similar fashion, bugs/exploits excluded.
MobileGamerDads will not take abuse from you!!!111
It’s not even that the class is strong; it’s the buggy, exploit stuff (that allows it to do 250,000 trillion damage) that’s really the issue.
There’s a pair of pants on the D4 subreddit right now that basically functions as if it has been masterworked 32+ times, which was created by an exploit-like process involving crafting on a necro and then transferring the item over to a spiritborn for additional crafting. I guess you could technically do this with necro and any other class, but because the spiritborn scales so well with gear upgrades, it benefits from this process more than other classes would.
The real gap this season isn’t just between spiritborn and other classes – it’s between people who can keep up with the latest bugs and exploits and the people who are just trying to play the game normally.
I think spiritborn is fun as hell right now.
This masterwork exploit should be bannable. Anyone wearing gear with more than 12 masterworks is knowingly exploiting and should be treated as such.
This is not a competitive game. If i like tp win effortlessly and I’m having fun why is it bad? Isn’t games are meant to have fun in the first place)?
Just like in prior seasons there were sorcs deleting the map from here to Narnia.
Even my old Druid Pulv build was just hold RMB and watch the entire map explode.
This isn’t new.
Besides that, outside of you stepping into a Helltide, where you lose nothing by having stuff killed for you either way the game is setup that you can avoid players in most cases.
It isn’t worth being upset about class balance in a game with no content.
You don’t ask for buff to match a buggy mess. Don’t suggest ideas if you don’t understand the consequences.
I am also not a fan of Blizzard’s methodology where they just straight up disable/delete builds other than fine tuning the numbers. Read my other replies in this thread.
Ultimately, bugs aside, this is a key aspect. It is typically the synergy of a class and build that makes it feel good. regardless of damage numbers. The problem is the current D4 doesn’t seem to know how to do that. Because of the bugs, it is possible even SB doesn’t and the sheer damage output masks that.
I have builds in PoE that are not chart toppers, and would not clear many of the bosses. But are enjoyable to play because they flow together with fun synergies. And I think that is the other main part of the problem: D4 players upset their build doesn’t do content X as fast, and masking it with distractions about balance and so forth. So what Blizzard sees is “my class isn’t as OP as that class” and lacks the wisdom themselves to tease out the underlying issue.
I look at it like this: every class should at least 2 builds that can do all of the content, even on max difficulty. I don’t care if other classes do it faster, and I sure do not want “every build” to be able to because I understand what that would take.
I would say my friends don’t mind I tend to seriously outpower them, but they have made it crystal clear they greatly prefer I do because it makes them able to play builds that are perhaps not as capable but more fun for them to play. Which reinforces that ultimately what matters most is how you approach it.
How are the new skills to the old classes? Hear zero about them.
The new one for Druid sucks. It feels bad, plays bad.
S/He didn’t, and explicitly said bugs/exploits excluded. And has a point.
If SB is so overpowered (not saying it isn’t, keep the knee in check ) but cannot reach Pit 200 with the bugs is it really overpowered compared to the game? It does speak to the game-specific balance, and doesn’t look good.
Lets say the SB bugged uber-OP build can only clear 130-140 by people who literally play for a living. What is the point of Pit 140+? There is none. If the most capable people with such a “godly” build is unable to get to 1/4 of the pit levels, then either those levels should go away, the difficulty needs to come down, or all classes - including spirit born - will need buffed, bugs or no bugs.
Sorc’s familiar is kind of fun and useful.
They were pretty broken in the ptr. But I think what was broken in their interactions was fixed.
I used a druid with the new Keystone for pets, and I like this. My druid is P228
I will try stoneburst again when I get bored here.
I am using a barb with the mighty throw…it’s ok, I asasume it gets better, I am pretty low level still 27.
If you mean StoneBurst you need Anticline Aspect to make it better (I mean usable, the default version not sure who thought channeled pre-targeting would be fun)…or temper for chance to cast twice. Unless they made this worthless post ptr.
Because the pit wasn’t designed to be cleared in one season, similar to how GR150 took people years to clear in Diablo 3. That game is all about broken builds and took longer to beat than Diablo IV 1st season after the 1st xpac.
Bug is bug no need to sugarcoat it.
i wonder when you will be able to just enjoy the class that you play. personally i assume you are angry that other builds deal more damage than you.
i mean… not the first time you complain about “balance” in a non competitive game.
Just asking, whos builds do you copy?
And does that affect your meal? Your salary? Or in anyway at all?
Are you Blizzard’s representative? I’m puzzled because you seem to have no life other than on this Forums. Try to not be a jerk and let people bash the crap out of the game they purchased
Look, I’m a top level SB and even I don’t like playing with other SB for the exact same reasons you mentioned.
I will say one thing about SB, they have put the fun back in killing World Bosses (in that they now die quickly, not like back in the HotA heyday, but still).
