If you enjoy D3

If you enjoy D3 it seems Diablo 4 is something you would REALLY LOVE.

But if you enjoy POE, I honestly after watching the end game systems. This is not for POE/ARPG fans.

I would not call Diablo 4 a ARPG it does not contain any of the core end game. game play loops that ARPG’s have.

Although I think everyone would enjoy the beautiful scenery and enjoy a bit more of the diablo story

Cant wait to find out what happened to tyrael and the horodrim.

I agree that if you like D3 you’ll probably love D4. I also agree that if you’re mostly a fan of Spreadsheets-The-Game, you probably won’t like Diablo 4 much.

But this is definitely more of an Action RPG than PoE. PoE is an ERPG - an Excel Role Playing Game.

I mean if thats the case, but the numbers of a dead game prove other wise though

If PoE was not the sequel to D2 which was literally the classic ARPG. And that was D3, D3 would not have been so dead lol.

I would say PoE following D2 formula of game design is very much ARPG. Unless your this is somehow a joke in which you find funny lol.

You spend more time in menus and spreadsheets than you do in ‘action’ in that game.

You realize that’s people joking right when they say that?

Most people that play PoE dont even know how to operate a spread sheet lol. They just follow build guides.

Also just because you CAN does not mean you HAVE to.

Example : Just cause you can race a car does not mean EVERYONE who drives will be a racer? Kind of dumb if thats your logic but hey.

D3 was a great game and a lot of fun, but it had it’s flaws; the biggest one being a lack of meaningful stuff to do and meaningful ways to progress your character.

The initial course of leveling and gearing up is super fun and addictive, and the gameplay is frantic and fun, but it too quickly devolves to just running GRifts over and over for minor stat improvements. It starts feeling pointless fast.

I feel like Diablo 4 addresses a lot of that.

I liked the D3 campeign and play through. I think it was great. I like Diablo lore and getting more was always good. (I do hate how they killed cain off?).

Can you give me examples you have seen that showcase Diablo 4 addressing the obviously simple end game that diablo 3 had?

Cause looking at the loot table and the drop rates, and the only thing trade-able is gold?

Cant help but see diablo 4 going down the same path.

I liked d3 when there was an auction .Then I realized that his interest was gone, that I would not play in d3.Seasons And two different worlds .If there was one world I would play.If d4 is the same as I would not like , then I probably won 't play the same way .I’ll try, I won’t like the seasons. They say the seasons are kind of normal .It is firstly mandatory. And it takes time to play every 3 months. And if I don 't have enough for donat 96 levels for free , or I won 't receive donat in the game, for seasons and already paid, Maybe I 'll stop playing too .I didn’t like the overwatch 2 game and I don’t like it.

i disliked d3 and what it eventually became. i’ve enjoyed poe a lot, but i don’t mind d4’s design and pace at all.

The longer campaign, longer leveling process and slower gearing are all improvements. Gearing not being limited to specific class sets makes gear accumulation more varied and fun as well. The paragon board is also more interesting than just endlessly leveling up charms and dumping paragon points into a few core stats.

Nightmare dungeons, world bosses and a more MMORPG style approach to endgame will probably give things more longevity than just endlessly running GRifts to.

I enjoyed D2 for a few years, I really liked most of D3, POE put me to sleep, I am ready for D4.

I feel like a crazy person whenever someone makes this claim. It’s absolutely absurd.

Oh yeah I totally get theres alot more end game activities, but the way the loot system works is roughly the same.

Stopped reading here.

Same idea but drop rates should be a bit lower, so uniques are a bit more rare and special again; especially since class sets are no longer then end all be all for endgame itemization. More reason to hunt for and play with a variety of drops.

Yeah there will be more variety 100%.

Dont get my wrong still bought early access baby. Gonna slowly go through the lore and story and explore.
