If you’re going to nerf the speed at which we can evade, it would be a good idea to buff Stormfeather damage significantly. Otherwise the build is totally dead. There’s no reason whatsoever to use the Eagle spirit hall if you can only throw 8 feathers every 2 seconds.

IT wont be 2s. IT will be near 0s to .5s still. The animation just has to finish = whatever time that takes. Its just to prevent it from 50 times a second. It might be rekt now though so maybe an increase in damage is warranted.

Not sure I’d call it a nerf, as they don’t seem concerned about the damage. it’s more about animation overlapping and truncation causing issues for other players.
So more an actual bug in the system.

I didn’t use this build because it was obviously going to be fixed. If they changed lightning spear sorc they would definitely change sb evade.

See here is the problem… The damage on quill is fine. We just didnt agree you guys should be able to use this evade bug like you did to get 150+ pit.
You’ll still be able to do pit 100’s just fine as should everyone else if their builds work.

True. 2 seconds is certainly an exaggeration, but the fact is the only reason the build functions well is because of the speed of the evade casts. Putting an internal cooldown of any kind on the casting of Stormfeathers is going to absolutely destroy the build UNLESS they buff the damage exponentially to compensate.
Short of that, you may as well run Quill Volley. There’s no contest.
They dont have to buff any damage… The level this build was doing was unintentional and we dont need to buff any damage on SB. They are fine.

You realize Stormfeather and Quill Volley are not the same thing, right? This change will not impact Quill Volley. It will simply eliminate Stormfeather as a competitive alternative.
This is what is going to happen and 90% of the server will all be SB playing some version of Quill if the patch also fixes other SB like that unrestrained power or whatever that scales too high. Season is a joke for balance. This is the worst start and worst expansion balancewise I have ever seen in 25 years of gaming. They have completely gutted this season for anyone but SB.

Quill Volley will do multitudes more damage than the evade build after this. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 times more damage, I would guess.

Evade build isn’t competitive at anything but speed farming.
There is already only 1 build in this game.
there should be an internal cooldown on storm feathers. I have to wait for the animation for every other ability that I use that does damage.
The evade build was never meant to function as it has the past week. Play the build for a few minutes and you can determine that spamming evade is beyond broken. To fully commit and gear for this build was a mistake from the start.

That’s a little dramatic. They’re trying to fix turbo evaders crashing other people’s computers. Ensuring enjoyment is the one thing they want to do because that keeps you buying things for this game.
i tried to make other builds, but it’s like intentionally playing something super weak just for the sake of it.
evade was totally meant to have no cooldown. it’s just that no one at blizzard bothered testing this build (or worse: they tested it but never imagined someone would spam the hell out of it).
